Our Verdict

They offered a similar bonus last year but it was for a $25 Visa rebate rather than a $25 Bed Bath & Beyond gift card. The $200 cards have a purchase fee of $6.95. BB&B codes as home furnishings so you’ll struggle to get a category bonus on this purchase.  Comenity Bank offers a Bed Bath & Beyond card that offers 5% back on purchases at the store. You might as well try to use Ebates in store cash back as well (won’t work with the Comenity Bank card). The rebates can be filed online and you should be able to file both rebates at once. There is also the American Express sync offer for those that have it.

I’m not sure if you’ll also be able to do this twice at Harmon & Buy Buy Baby as well or not.

Probably the last time I will do a rebate offer with Bed Bath and Beyond. Too much of a hassle.

Today only a $25 gift card arrived in the mail, although I submitted a rebate for 2 gift cards. Now on hold trying to find out why the 2nd $25 gift card was not shipped.

I just did chat. I got an email saying I did not submit UPC on a Sunrise card. I originally submitted a picture of the back of the card. Person I chatted with said that the UPC did not qualify. I responded that I got the $200 Visa gift card and asked what other information do they need. She then pushed it through and it will be sent in the mail within the 30 days. Chat took about 10-15 minutes.

Good news for all of you who got declined, thinking it was because of the Sunrise vgc purchase (like I did.

Now that Cyber Monday is over, I had the time to chase after our 2 $25 BBB gift cards from the purchase of 2 $200 Sunrise visas (one each by husband and I). As reported above, we got declined for not enough purchased reason.

I called:1-866-561-7654, the rebate center. I spent a lot of time getting to a live rep. and hung up twice after circling around the different options, which would not ever direct me to a live person. What finally worked was answering “yes” to the question “Have you moved since you submitted your rebate.” There was something before that but I can’t remember how I got to the “Have you moved” question.

I got the live rep after saying I moved, and I told him the problem: Submitted the receipt for $200 v.g.c purchase, a photo of the back of the card holder with the upc, card was issued by Sunrise Bank through Blackhawk, and don’t know why it was rejected for not purchasing enough. He went through the submissions (have your rebate tracking numbers ready)–he could see what was submitted, and told me that the system did not upload the information re: address and phone number and what rebate offer was being submitted, so that is why it was rejected. The system was uploading the photos of receipts and upc numbers, but just not all of the information on the online form.

He corrected the submission and said that the rebate tracking info would be updated within 24 hours online and that the BBB gift cards would be mailed within 3 weeks.

So, the SUNRISE vgc do work for this deal. It was a problem with the website’s online submission process. The photo of the back of the card jacket is ok.

So, if you want the BBB g.c., call in and they will fix it. Chat might work, but in the past, I’ve had better success dealing with phone reps, once I can get connected to one.

I also got rejected email for sunrise, not enough purchased.
I didn’t get any rebate form from store. I just submitted online. Do I need any rebate form from store?

This is what the rep said.
‘After further research, I was able to verify that your rebate was not processed because the product was not properly processed in our system.’
Sounds like a scam. Who has the time to contact these guys again and again for a mere $25 ( I do :-)) . But seriously this is BS. Never again.

Chatted with their support today after receiving not enough purchased rejection and they were able to push the rebate through. I did actually purchase the Sunrise bank 200 Visa Gift Card.

If anyone bought $200 master giftcard here you go.
No rebate printed out in store and cashier no clue about it. did online submission with 4 images of receipt (since it’s very long receipt ,i split tender between 8 cards) and back of the card package for upc. Got email today rebate valid. Thanks doc.

Did you submit the activation receipt of the cards? Seems like they are just randomly approving or rejecting people even though everyone is doing the exact same thing.

Got denied on a basis I did not expect:

“Unfortunately, we could not honor your request due to the following reason(s):

Invalid Purchase Location”

I see the language in the terms re: “Offer good on purchase of items listed below at participating Bed Bath & Beyond stores between the start date and end date applicable to those items.” But are we seriously supposed to rely on presence/absence of any advertisement of the deal at that BBB?

At least there was an amex offer so this was basically a breakeven.

DP: The 2 cards I purchased yesterday (27th) were sunrise as well and no rebate receipts were printed out at the register. Both rebates got approved today.

For each rebate submit online, I uploaded the purchase receipt, as well as a picture that contains the sunrise visa card’s activation receipt and the barcode on the back of the visa card (which matches the details shown on the activation receipt).

Looks like many people are having issues with the rebate. Maybe the UPC is supposed to be the barcode on the back of the card and sunrise purchase must match its own UPC, not the one of metabank’s.

Ditto for me. I scanned the back of the Vgcs still in the cardboard carrier with barcode (not upc) showing and was approved.

Don’t know if sending the barcode is the key, or it just took them a day or two to realize there is no upc for this item.
