Our Verdict
Rakuten cashback can be converted into American Express Membership Rewards points. LifeLock Ultimate Plus Plan is the most expensive plan, this will cost $296.90 and you’d earn $267.21 or 26,721 MR rewards points. This works out to be 1.11¢ per point. New Rakuten members can get another 3,000 points for signing up as well.
Personally this is an easy pass for me, too much room for something to go wrong and I don’t really want to have to deal with that for a very slight profit. Others (especially people that value MR points highly) will find this worth doing.

Circling back. Rakuten just let me know that they will not be paying out the cashback to me. Any recommendations here? Abysmal.
Following up in case anyone was interested. I told them that I would be filing a CFPB and BBB complaint, and I showed screenshots that my shopping trip and order completion were less than 5 minutes between each other.
They credited me afterwards.
Not sure why, but Rakuten just paid me for my Norton purchase in late January. They typically wait until the end of the quarter, so I don’t know why this was a special case. Of course, I’m not complaining.

Norton cancelled my order: 360 with LifeLock Advantage. I used my platinum with the 20% back amex offer, plus Rakuten. Anybody else get a cancellation?
Not me. And I’ve now been paid by Amex and Rakuten.
I can never get them to even accept an order. Always get a “cannot complete your order at this time” message, followed a few days later with an email telling me I can still take advantage of the same offer.
I’ve never had any Norton subs in the past, so no idea what the issue is.

Can’t be expected to be spoonfed everything. You can do a few minutes of DD, including by just coming to comment section and seeing a report or writing that report yourself…
But can we expect no click-baiting?

Be careful. I didn’t get 80% CB last time. Rakuten said it’s once per member. So if you got the CB for Norton previously, even for another product, you won’t get another CB for Norton.
Interesting.. I was thinking of buying Norton Utilities if the 95% offer came back. But I found this in the offer terms.
Special Terms: Cash Back is only available on first time orders and first month subscription for Gamers. You will only be eligible for Cash Back after merchant has confirmed your order payment has been processed. Maximum Cash Back amount is limited to the amount actually paid for the subscription. Limit one per member.
Amex offer terms state “Excludes purchases of standalone LifeLock TM products (Standard, Advantage, and/or Ultimate Plus) and renewals.” Probably not worth trying for me.
The offer is back, and I had 20% up to $20 on my Amex. I clicked on the two-year offer of Deluxe for $79.99 on the Rakuten page, since I did not see a way to do more than one year when I clicked on the regular link.
Tracking at Rakuten, $75.99 back on $79.99 purchase. Had to pay tax, but the Amex money (got notification ten minutes after purchase) will more than cover that
