The Samsung Pay 1000 points for $10 Grubhub has been going on for a while now. For a while there was also a 500 points for $5 GH redemption option, but I guess they quickly realized it was too easy for people to liquidate their soon to be worthless points and they yanked it.

There are also two promos right now:
1. $5 Paypal credit for linking PP to Sam Pay, then make 5 purchases and get 2500 points.
2. 1000 points after one purchase (doesn’t have to be first purchase).

Worth about $35 + 500 points for minimal effort.

Buying 2 chicken sandwich would be cheaper than using doordash buying 1 chicken and getting 1 free.

To all the Amazon Sheeple out there: please explain how this is OK?

Even if he did buy the cards off Raise or with crypto, how is this ok or even legal? Looks like people who buy the GC’s from Staples and Office Depot are being effected too.

And then eliminating 1/2 day shipping for some prime customers. The Scamazon Gestapo is on a rampage.

Knowing his history I am pretty sure he was doing something illegal or borderline illegal. I would give benefit of the doubt to amazon instead of him.

True about MPD. But what about the other people this is happening to? Seems like people buying large GC quantities at staples and Office Depot are being effected also.

What is considered large quantity? I’m getting a coupon from OD monthly: buy $75, get $20 store GC. So I go in and buy $75 amazon GCs and get $20 OD stuff for free. Other than that I’m an ordinary amazon user and I may add the occasional $25 swagbucks GC too. Am I at risk?

I too would like to know how to effect a solution to this problem which seems to have affected so many of us.

Why is everybody loading the Amazon gift cards as soon they buy them? With physical Amazon gift cards, I keep them in a safe hidden place in my house until I’m ready to use them, and only load the ones I need for upcoming purchases. So Amazon never knows how many gift cards I actually have, just the very few that I’ve loaded at that time.

Isn’t that the obvious solution?

Well knowing how gc can get hack and used up. People thought it be safer to just load it to their account and not worry about losing it. Which isn’t the case anymore.

MPD clearly stated in his article “All of my Amazon gift card purchases were bought first hand; I don’t buy them off Raise or any other people.”

MPD isn’t alone in that story. That has happened to a good number of people recently. Same exact story.
