- United Gets Stingier With Customer Compensation for Flight Delays by Skift. Lol, what sort of customer feedback have they received that says this is a bad idea? This is nothing but a short sighted cost cutting measure.
- Priority Pass Loses Its Best Tel Aviv “Lounge” Option by Dans Deals.
- JPMorgan to ban third-party fintech platforms from accessing customer passwords by betanews via VFTW. They are moving to a token based system, this is a big improvement and others should move to this type of system as well.
- Be careful of scams out there.
Here’s a story of how my family almost lost $2,800 yesterday in one of the most elaborate scams I’ve ever heard of.

How will no password sharing impact … stripe? whatever the thing is that apps keep trying to use to verify my bank info. Going to be hard to trust/verify any webview is going to the REAL chase in order to get a token for the app
I have said for years that financial institutions (and probably many others) should have separate “Read Only” and “Full Access” login capabilities. Then for my account, I login with Full Access to move money, withdraw money, etc. but for other access (e.g. Award Wallet, Personal Capital) they can only view info and not _do_ anything.
I hope the Chase move will trigger more companies to go this way, though I am not overly optimistic. It was only ~a year ago that T. Rowe Price (for my 401k) raised the 10-character limit on password length to 32 characters, and it was just in the last month that IHG finally moved beyond a 4-digit pin. This should not be that hard …
united, everyone should boycott that company if alternative is available.
I live in a United hub and need to choose between United nonstops or connecting flights on other airlines. As annoying as United can be, I consider the nonstop flights to be essential.
“Lounge” was in quotes in the article but not in your headline. It wasn’t an actual lounge, it was a bar, which presumably wasn’t available to Amex-provided Priority Pass anyway. No actual lounges have been lost at Tel Aviv, but Dans Deals doesn’t like the actual lounges there.
