When I sent with Wise it went through as a real-time payment and did NOT count in the offer tracker. If you can send as a regular ACH it will probably count, but I didn’t check if there was an option to do that.

In offer tracker, mine was marked as Excluded but progress was 100%. I called customer service after a week and said I wanted to submit a ticket in regards to being excluded. They asked if I had an account within a year, and I said about 15 months ago I closed one. Next day it was marked Completed. So calling worked.

I signed up under a referral, and under Refer A Friend it says 100% completed and under Incentives it says Qualified with an anticipated date of 9/25. So it looks like the referral stacked with the promo successfully.

I initiated a transfer of $1000 from TBK which coded as P2P. I thought it wouldn’t count but it turns out it did! The tracker said I will receive my bonus in October. That was easy!

Offer tracker shows Excluded. I called and they were having “technical difficulties”, couldn’t tell me what was going on and requested that I call back next business day. I’ll update this when I know more.

Update. The rep I spoke with told me that I was marked as Excluded because I have another checking account open with them. While this is true, it was a business account opened in May and the terms specifically state “Persons who had a PERSONAL Regions checking account within prior to new account opening are ineligible for this offer.”

Rep said there was nothing else she could do so I’ll be filing a report with the CFPB.

Update 2:

8/12 – Now showing Qualified and Completed for 2025 Q3-Q4 BAU Consumer HHG Offer. No follow up communication from Regions, CFPB complaint still listed as open. Anticipated payout by 10/6/2025.

Hmmm…I initially started as EXCLUDED, opened a ticket to fix it, got it fixed to In Progress, completed all the requirements, and now show 100% Progress but EXCLUDED status. I think I might reach out again and ask why it changed back to EXCLUDED.

mothman69 Strange. Mine shows 100% status, albeit with a red bar. But the status column says “Complete” (with DD as of 8/1). When you say EXCLUDED, does it say this explicitly or are you inferring it from the red status bar?

It’s red until you receive the bonus then it turns green.

I chatted with a cs agent last night and they looked into it but I got disconnected after a while before they reached any conclusion as to why it said EXCLUDED. I just checked it again this morning and the status changed from EXCLUDED back to Complete. My progress bar is red and at 100%.

Close the old account July last year. Opened a newone today using a different email address. The old login still works. The offer tracker doesn’t show my current checking promo, only the one from 2023. The email address on the top of the tracker page is still the one I used last time. Is this normal?

Received the email promo offer after clicking the DOC link above. Online application was straightforward. There was a box for a promo code, but no promo code in the email, so I left it blank. Pickle Rick🔗 says it’s not needed. Was immediately approved.

Did not use a referral since I’ve had regions accounts before and Gadget - Bank Bonus Geek 🔗 and others state that it probably no longer stacks.

Online banking username from over 5 years ago was still valid.

Funded 125 checking and 125 savings with USBank Shopper Visa. Coded as purchase.

The stack works, but only if you have never had a Regions account before.

They are really good at verifying past account statuses. mothman69 recently used my referral and now shows as “excluded” on the offer tracker. Sorry, bro.

I have a DP that the referral didn’t stack for a new Regions customer in March. My referrer said my status remained at 50% and I’m confident I completed all required steps (10 real debits, e-statement, 300 ACH with 60 days).

Gadget - Bank Bonus Geek 🔗 2 more questions –

  1. After I register using the referrer link, I used the main promotion link of $300 to register which then showed 2 options: online which I can’t as I am OOS and in-branch. Does in-branch need a promotion code to open and receive $300 bonus? I didn’t receive any code after registering through the main link.
  2. As P1 and P2 visiting a branch together with appointments scheduled one after another (P1 then P2, 15-20 mins apart), can P1 refer P2 just after opening own account? Before even going to the branch can P2 register the main link for $300 so that step is done beforehand, even before P1 refers P2?

First, you register for the referral.

Next, you register for the promotion at the Direct Link to Offer in the post. The email you get from Regions says:

Please note: The name (first and last) and email address in the Regions system at the time this offer is fulfilled must match the one used to register for this offer and open your new account.”

Depending on the anal-ness of the banker, they may ask that you forward the $300 offer voucher email to them so they can “get it added” or “have it for their records” or whatever else they might say.

I cannot say the timing on the referral, with two same-day account openings, can P1 refer P2 in advance. I haven’t been following every DP. It would be better to have a day of separation in there to remove all doubt.
