Last time they offered this variable load Visas were not working, but 5 back variables and Mastercard were working. Please share DP on what is isn’t working this time. Update: Variable Visa’s seem to be working fine this time. Make sure to use a card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases.

Tried to purchase a $500 VGC at Vons in SoCal after adding the digital coupon to the account and it didn’t work. Was told that sometimes Just4U accounts have problems with gift card purchases. The manager said he’d give me the $10 off but that the discount comes out of the store’s bottom line when normally it’s paid for by someone else so they prefer not to do that. Can’t figure out why it didn’t work this time since it’s always worked before. I buy these all the time when they’re on sale. Customer Service at Vons confirmed the card is eligible and should have worked.

sometimes the j4u coupons take awhile to load on the terminal and IF YOU PAY TOO SOON, then you’re SOL! my safeway recently just updated their terminals and it process payment really fast! ‘bypassing’ your entered phone number(!). so it’s like you never used your safeway/j4u account thus no discount for you! O.o
Well, I waited to insert my CC until the discount showed up on their screen, which usually happens. But nothing happened. It was long enough that some impatient person complained I was holding up the line, maybe 30-45 seconds or so. I didn’t want to insert my CC until I saw the discount appear.
The receipt doesn’t list the phone # or club card #, but it did print out my name and show that I now have 12 gas rewards after the gift card purchase.
Well it worked today. Not sure if it was just the few extra days that went by or what. One thing I learned, I wasn’t reading all the details of each offer carefully enough because some offers are linked to ‘My Store’ and may not work at other stores, even if the offer is available everywhere, or so I was told by someone in customer service.
Bought black $500 visa and $100 style anywhere visa, got $20 off and 2 gas rewards. Then, the coupon for $10 off $150 visa is gone, but the coupon for $10 off $100 fashion gift card is still there. Maybe I can buy the style anywhere visa again.
I noticed that the packages have names for the different designs printed on the bottom of the back in tiny print. The black/grey design that seems to work with the coupon is called “kevlar”.

There is another mymixx coupon for $10 off $100 fashion gift cards. This coupon stacks when purchasing “style everywhere” giftcards. When you purchase $200 you’re total will be $184.95.
Can it be used like a normal Visa GC or restricted to Fashion/style places?.
And I was targeted the “Buy $50 or more in any Dining Gift Cards and get $7 off instantly”, last time I bought 200 Dining everywhere VGC and triggered $10 off $100 dining gift card offer, plus 4 gas rewards.

Variable visas working in Hawaii.
Tried a variable VGC with colorful balloons, but no luck.
Bought another variable VGC with colorful balloons at another Safeway store, discount didn’t show up either. Manager had to enter the discount manually. I later bought a variable VGC with a picture of roses and used the same Safeway card (which still had the promo added after 2 failed attempts) and got $10 off.
For those who only have one Safeway account and want to get the discount multiple times, buy the VGC with balloons and have manager override.
Tried the VGC with blue ribbons on the package. No go in Portland. Last week the black package worked but they were all out.
