- The Promotion is open to anyone who resides within the United States and is of the age of majority in the state in which they reside.
- To receive a $20 bonus in the form of a gift card through the Promotion you must agree to a soft credit pull on www.SoFi.com to check your rate for one of the following SoFi products: Home Loans. Checking your rate will not affect your credit score. If you later decide to submit an application and agree to a hard credit pull your credit score may be impacted. Participants will receive the $20 bonus gift card regardless of whether or not they are pre-qualified for a SoFi loan product.
- Those who have already received a bonus for checking their rate on a personal loan or home loan in the 2021 calendar year are not eligible for this promotion.
- SoFi employees are not eligible to participate in this Promotion. Notwithstanding the above, SoFi reserves the right to exclude any consumer from participating in the Promotion for any reason, including suspected fraud, misuse, or if suspicious activities are observed.

- All payouts are fulfilled by SoFi’s vendor Customer Motivators. Eligible participants will receive an email from Customer Motivators with a unique code and a link to a web page to redeem for a $20 bonus gift card.
- Bonus amounts of $600 or greater in a single calendar year may be reported to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as miscellaneous income to the recipient on Form 1099-MISC in the year received as required by applicable law. Our Verdict
We’ve seen similar deals for checking other loan rates; this is the first one for home loans. I don’t recall anyone complaining about spam or the like from doing the deal, so it seems like a nice offer for simply checking your rate.

If you never got the personal or student loan gift cards for checking your rate, you can email [email protected] and complain. I did that and got my gift card pretty quickly.
But I did the personal loan deal back in February so per the terms that I just read I shouldn’t be able to get a gift card for this loan. We’ll see.

I did all the offers last month for three GC. I have half a dozen loans pending/declined/whatever in my SoFi loan section lol. Was debating whether to go for this one too despite the new terms.
I plan on asking for the gift card regardless. They messed up my other one so maybe it didn’t get registered in their system.

I got a $10 bonus last year (2020), and based on the fine print I should have qualified for this promo as I didn’t do any SoFi promos for 2021 yet. I checked my mortgage rates on 4/30 and am pretty sure I went far enough through the process as the website presented me with a list of rates and I even got a phone call from a SoFi rep. No $20 bonus yet though. I can’t think of anything that would have disqualified me, other than doing it on the last day of the promo.
I emailed support, but what’s complicating things is that I also did the personal loan promo on 5/3 for a $10 bonus. I got that $10 email yesterday, so support is telling me I already got the email for the home loan promo. I just responded with more detail to clarify that my issue is specifically with the home loan promo and we’ll see what happens. I guess worse case $10 is still better than nothing.

Just got my claim code for the gift card. Did not get an email response from [email protected]. Looks like the one gift card per year is not necessarily enforced.
Claim code finally came May 10. Not sure if they were just slow or the email to support helped. No response to email.

I don’t recall all the brands, but Amazon, Whole Foods, Starbucks, & Mastercard was there. Once selected, said to expect a wait of like 2 weeks for a mailed card.
Edit: Just checked my Informed Delivery and I have an envelope coming from the SoFi Selection Center in Bumpkin Beach FL 33424… fingers crossed.
after the page that showed your rate, did you click the button that asked you to complete your app? if so, what’s on that page? did you ever consent to a hard credit check?
Hard pull not required to get this deal.
2nd time doing this: Did not have to complete the form on page 2. You will get a call though from them – just say your current rate is better than what they offer and they will let you go.
Just get to the page that says you’re either pre-approved or you’re denied and you’re done. If you choose interest rates and terms and proceed with the loan you will get hard pull.
Unlike Harry I have not received any phone calls. However my application was for the prospect of a future loan and not a refinance.
do you need to provide SSN at this point?
If the screen doesn’t say you are preapproved at $xxx,xxx and lists out the interest rates, est. payment amounts, etc, OR denied, you did not go far enough.
They make the offer… if you accept, you get the HP.

Just to add… when I log into SoFi now, it says the loan status is “Congratulations! You are prequalified!” If you back out before getting that or denial, you may not have gone far enough. Good luck.

I don’t recall exactly, but you have no choice but to login. If you try to proceed, they tell you they found an existing account, IIRC.

Hi. I don’t know where else to contact you directly., so I’m hoping the moderator filter will suffice. I received an email today from SoFi with the heading “Get 6,000 SoFi points just for applying for life insurance”. Don’t know how to attach a jpg, pdf, etc. of the email here in case you want to see it and post it for others to consider. I opened my SoFi account earlier this year to take advantage of the various offers you informed all of us about.

I got 10 for personal loan this year I checked home loan rate, they didn’t give me I contacted the support they gave me !
I got the 10 gift card before, I contacted their support got the 20
I’ve emailed [email protected] twice so far and am still waiting. They were quick to call me about my rates and if I wanted a loan though 🤨

As posted by so many: SOFI is a worthless scam operation that will not provide you with your gift cards without multiple emails, phone calls, and other annoying hoop-jumping. Avoid these fraudsters.
