The Offer
- Starbucks is offering a bonus $5 eGiftcard when you purchase $20 or more in eGiftcards
The Fine Print
- Valid 12/2
Our Verdict
Not as good as the purchase $15, get $5 bonus we just saw. Still should be useful for people that love Starbucks. There’s a Chase/BofA offer for 10% back as well that should stack. Click here for more Starbucks deals.
Hat tip to DDG
There is a $5 free starbucks in verizon up rewards.
Any DPs that the offer can be churned for multiple $5 ?
I used same email, and only got one $5. Contacting them now. Should’ve used different ones
Thanks! Stacked with my 15% off Starbucks on AMEX.
Nice!
Is this still active? I didn’t get the $5
Check your e-mail
Didn’t get credit for it and had to contact their live support. They verified the purchase was on 12/2 and credited my account $5
Thanks, DoC. Worked perfectly. Used an amex card with 15% off starbucks (which may have already7expired).
Triggered Amex offer
Bought egift through app, but didn’t get amex offer email trigger, did you purchase through starbucks website?
The $5 bonus came immediately even before transaction was pending on amex.
Stopped going to Starbucks after they devalued their rewards program.
I almost did and now that they now limit you to 12 shots per reward drink, but 12 shots for 50 stars for a couple just add hot water americano’s later; is just ok
Similar to another deal a while back, this deal seems to have issues with Chase’s IHG card. There were a bunch of people for whom trying to purchase the Starbucks eGiftCard using their Chase IHG credit card would result in the card being shown as invalid or getting some sort of error. I’m getting that same error this time.
The error could apparently be fixed by calling in to Chase and getting them to handle something manually. I can’t be bothered for $5 though.
FWIW Caribou is offering the same promotion. I’m not a coffee person but according to P2 Caribou > Starbucks.
I just bought myself a $20 gift card and there was no indication anywhere in the checkout process that I’d get the extra $5 card. However I got an email with the extra $5 immediately.
