Swagbucks: Signup for Acorns Investing and get $23.50

Update 2/6/20: Offer is available again.

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Signup for an Acorns investment account through Swagbucks and get 1,350 SB (worth $13.50).
  • You’ll also get $10 from Acorns when you link your bank.

The Fine Print

  • SB will appear as Pending for 7 days.
  • Must enter valid sign-up information, including credit card information and SSN to earn SB.
  • You will receive $10 in your Acorns account after sign up, and you link your bank account.
  • Offer may only be redeemed once (1) per user.
  • This offer is presented to you by Swagbucks on behalf of a third-party merchant or sponsor (“Merchant”). Swagbucks does not endorse (and therefore is not responsible to you for) the Merchant’s views, policies, products or services. Have questions? Please contact the Swagbucks Help Center here. If you are not credited within 32 days of offer completion, you have 14 days to contact the Swagbucks Help Center for further investigation. Help Center tickets submitted after the 14 day grace period are not eligible for further investigation and SB.

Our Verdict

You’ll end up with $23.50 here ($10 + $13.50) which is the best signup bonus we’ve seen for Acorns. The typical is to just get $5 when signing up with a referral link. In the past, Swagbucks offered just $12 ($5 + $7) total.

Good time to signup now if Acorns interests you. See our full review on Acorns here.

$10 only after you make your 1st deposit. Also, when I just did this it did not trigger Swagbucks. Waste of time.

But thank you DOC for the thousands and thousands I’ve taken in by reading this website.

Mine didn’t trigger Swagbucks as well, but some of these take a little bit of time from my experience.

Yeah, typically, Swagbucks sends you an email telling you that the SB are on their way. If that email doesn’t arrive today, I’ll put in a ticket.

I am showing a green check mark by “Get your account to $10” after clicking view all under “Finish your account to get started” on the main log in page. I only linked my bank account. Not sure if that means the $10 bonus is pending from them.

mine didnt trigger either – but i will submit a ticket with them for credit.

My guess is that the Swagbucks also are not triggered until the initial deposit.

I signed up on the 21st, but I used trial deposits. Consequently, my initial deposit didn’t occur until the 24th. That (this) evening, the Swagbucks appeared for the first time (pending in shop activity).

report back if it does! 🙂

reporting back – today is the 7th day, i took screen shots of everything with a submitted ticket to Swagbucks and was instantly credited with 1350 swagbucks. Never received the 10.00 – so i will cancel the account and end up with net profit of $13.50

Is there any chance of a hard credit pull with this?

For free you can show everyone how naive you are to think it’s not already out there!

Is there any monthly service fees? And how long before we can close the account?
Any tips on closing account when the time comes?

I would stay away from Acorns, bunch of amateurs. Failed to redeem a $25 gift card, horrible customer service, fought them for weeks but then just decided to walk away. Not worth the aggravation.

I’m in it for the swag points and $10 credit. I figure i’ll empty the account in a month. Wheres this $25 gift card coming from?

Thomas
Thomas

Bought the gift card from Pay Pal Digital Gifts. I was working the Q4 5X on a Freedom card. To be fair I successfully bought and redeemed about 10 gift cards before being denied redemption by Acorns. That’s fine, but should at least refund gift card purchase. Instead Acorns and PPDG pointed fingers at each other.

$1 a month for Acorns Invest, account closing is painless, I just did it last week. You can close the account from within the app, they sell your investments and send it to your linked bank a few days later. There are also options that cost $2 and $3 a month.

Denise or anyone following this post: I have pending “Found Money” from Acorns’ Found Money cashback offers.. do you know if you can close the account.. but still get the pending Found Money? I don’t want to lose the pending Found Money.. but also don’t like paying $1/ month for an investment service I don’t even use..

Denise
Denise

That I don’t know, I didn’t bother with any of the Found Money offers. Those same offers are everywhere. Found Money might be a way to keep people paying for the app because they don’t want to lose out on pending money. Acorns FAQ says Found Money offers credit in 90-120 days after you make a purchase! I would say if it’s just a few dollars close the account.

Unfortunately, Acorns’ Found Money is one of the few apps / web sites to get cashback on all Airbnb bookings. I’ve got cashback from a few Airbnb bookings pending from December.. the cashback for all Airbnb bookings is 1.8%.. I think I have about $16 pending.. so the $1/month charge just eats into it… too bad they charge that fee.. I had the student waiver for a couple years no fees.. but apparently it just expired and suddenly I was getting $1 / month taken from my bank account by Acorns with no explanation and no warning.. but I guess I need to keep it open until the Airbnb cashback posts

How do i close the account using my pc? My phone might be too outdated.

Clarence Weatherspoon

Acorns has been the worst for me.. The worst customer service.. waiting 1 week for a copy and paste reply from them.. and the $1 fees taken from bank account. They also don’t honor some of their Found Money.

FYI, I opened the account yesterday morning and it just now posted as pending to my Swagbucks account. So if it didn’t immediately post, there’s still hope for you!

Fred
Fred

Have/had you funded the account immediately? Or did it pend before the money was withdrawn from your bank account?

Austin
Austin

I funded immediately. It went pending after the funds were withdrawn, but I don’t know if funding is required for the SB to post.

Elliott

Still haven’t received confirmation and still haven’t received the 10 dollars… hmm… it’s been over a week.

Fred
Fred

Did you get the Swagbucks? I got the Swagbucks, but the $10 “partner reward” still shows as transferring.

Fred
Fred

My first deposit was withdrawn from my bank on January 24th, and the first purchases were on the same day, per the trade confirmations. Also per the confirmations, the $10 partner reward was invested on February 3rd.

How long do i need to keep this open after getting swagbucks and $10 ?
Slightly looking on their site and don’t see the section on closing account.

Ig
Ig

It’s under settings, subscription, upper left will have a cancel account button.

Does it say how long i have to keep it after i get the credit?

I still need some people to get my $250 bonus. Sign up with my link and you’ll get $25 from me +$5 from Acorns. Contact North-Entrepreneur on reddit for the link.

Matt

If you invite 4 people this month, you can get a $250 bonus as the referring party.
So if you want to sign up anyway, and we can get 4 people, I would happily split the bonus with the group. $30 in actual cash from me for each, and the the 5 or 10 from Acorns whatever it is.

Obviously this only works if there’s 4 people. Lmk if you’d want to be part of a group though.

I don’t sincerely recommend Acorns for most people. They charge a $1/month fee or more. The best feature is honestly the uber rider cashback portal and the opportunity to get $5-15 every 6 months when shopping insurance quotes. I don’t use the actual service but the “found money” feature is really good.

The $10 appeared today, Feb 7, and I opened Jan 29th so took 10 days to get that.

Did it show up as “pending” under Swagbucks before it appeared?
