Tactics For Getting More Than One Easy Rebate From Staples

Staples is currently holding a special where you’ll receive a $20 Visa gift card when you purchase $300 or more in Visa gift cards. This is a regular promotion they run and can be quite profitable if you have a card that earns at a high rate on Staples purchases. They also regularly run other profitable promotions that require an Easy Rebate. Easy rebates are incredibly easy to complete, you just fill out the information online at https://www.stapleseasyrebates.com/, there is no need to send in anything.

One of the reasons Staples uses the easy rebate system is to prevent people from doing the promotion multiple times. We’re going to look at some methods to get around this limitation and see what works & doesn’t work.

What works

When you submit multiple rebates, it’s generally a good idea to ensure that you’re using a different IP address (turning your router on & off will should work if you have a dynamic IP. If you have a static IP you’ll need to use a proxy) we also suggest clearing your cookies & cache as well. It’s also good practice to use a different credit card for the purchase, although we have no reason to believe this last step is currently necessary.

  • Fill out the rebate form for somebody you trust. The downside to this is that you’re relying on the person to actually give you the gift card, a lot of people will “forget” to give you the gift card which eats into your profits.
  • Use a different address. These promotions are usually tied to an address rather than a name, this means you can get one rebate sent to your home, another to your office and then any holiday houses you have. You could also get it sent to your parents address. I prefer this method to filling out for the rebate form for somebody you trust as people are less likely to open mail addressed to you. If you do use this method, I’d recommend changing your name slightly. For example, I could use Will & William. You can also try adding or removing your middle name or using a miss spelling as well.
  • Forwarding addresses. If you recently changed houses and still get mail forwarded then you can get the rebate for both your new & old addresses.

What doesn’t work

  • Adding an apartment number. E.g adding apartment 2a to the front of your address will not work from my experience.

This page is very much a work in progress, I’ll be testing different methods for this latest easy rebate and will be posting my findings on this post. If you find anything that works, feel free to share the advice in the comments section below.

Will a P.O. Box work as the mailing address on the rebate form?

Yes, will a PO box work as the address on the rebate form? Thank you.

No, it doesn’t work with a PO BOX address. I’ve tried and never received my rebate.

I have had intermittent success with using a different name and separate PO Box, aside from my street address, in the same town.

Has anyone else used PO Boxes, and with what success rates?
