I can confirm that the promo code works on multiple orders and is not single use. I’ve used it on three separate orders in the past hour with no issues.

Report on slickdeals a couple hours ago says no: “I can confirm that the promo code works on multiple orders and is not single use. I’ve used it on three separate orders in the past hour with no issues.”

The fine print:

“Save an extra 5% off your purchase when you use your debit or credit REDcard as payment type. Discount applied at checkout with entry of promotion code REDCARD. Discount will apply only to the purchase amount tendered to your REDcard. The standard 5% REDcard discount will be applied after the extra 5% discount. Offer excludes items sold & shipped by Target +™ Partners, alcohol, gift cards, prepaid cards, milk, select baby brands (DockATot, Halo, Infant Optics, Owlet, Peg Perego, Philips Avent), Levi’s Red Label, LEGO, Bose, JBL, Sonos, Apple, Fitbit, Tile, Google Home/Mini/Hub, LG OLED TV, Samsung TVs, GoPro, DSLR cameras & lenses, mobile contracts, Nintendo hardware and Switch games, PS4 hardware, Xbox One hardware, Simple Human, Traeger, Harry’s, Flamingo, power shave, power dental, Tylenol and Motrin pain relief, clinic & pharmacy, and Target Optical. Offer available online only. May not be applied to previous purchases. Offer expires 4/6/2019 at 11:59pm PT.”

So DNew it says they won’t adjust your previous purchase, and Dan it excludes all Apple products. But Rudi Pittman it does not appear to exclude pet food, so you might want to try calling or chatting with Target about that.

Update: I think Rudi Pittman was probably just experiencing this glitch, described on slickdeals:

“When i first entered promo code REDCARD it said the code did not apply to anything in my basket, I could not select my method of payment at this point so I continued. At the very next step and it then showed that the extra 5% actually had been applied. So do not stop when first rejected, you can continue further without the order actually being placed.”

Thank you Ann. I’ll retry it today.

Are occasional offers like these worth a 5/24 slot for the store cc or Mastercard?

Is the debit card even worth a soft pull for the 5% off? I don’t think I’ve used a debit card for POS purchases in years.

I’m not sure why you’re concerned about soft pulls. To me the debit card is a no-brainer. And I don’t do a lot of shopping at Target. I’m still using up the gift card that they sold at a 10% discount in November or December.

Does this work with apple products? I’m interested in upgrading to the new iPad mini, my first gen mini is getting a little long in the tooth.

William Charles  Chuck have you ever known target to honor this additional 5% if you recently in the past week made a big online order? As always will be my own DP but wanted to see if y’all had any feedback in the meantime. Thanks.

It’s a glitch, keep going and it should end up applying.

Same thing happened to me, had a haul of baby stuff said it didn’t apply, but when I got far enough in my order it showed it was applied.

REDcard provides discount when purchasing 3rd party gift cards (at least in-store) but not when buying Target store gift cards.
