Deal has expired, view more AmEx offers by clicking here.

The Offer

No direct link, targeted offer

  • Get a one-time $45 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend $225+ on room rate and room charges, when you pay for your stay with DoubleTree by Hilton

The Fine Print

  • Valid until January 31st, 2019
  • Must book direct
  • Only valid on properties in the US & US Territories

Our Verdict

Hilton deals always get much better when you stack them with other Hilton deals. Current Hilton deals include:

Usually gift card purchases will work even if they are excluded in the fine print as long as you buy them from the front desk counter. I’m not sure if any DoubleTrees actually sell gift cards at the front desk. If you have a stay that is after January 31st then you can usually call up in advance and get them to charge your card, this has triggered previous offers.

Has anyone tried this offer with a non-U.S. DoubleTree booking? I’m planning a trip to the UK, but unsure if a DoubleTree there would trigger this offer…

I did a non-refundable booking online and the transaction coded as Hilton.com. How will Amex know that it was a Doubletree property? It’s not indicated anywhere.

Same question. I just saw the charge posted as hilton advance purchase. Any ideas?

For anyone who has done this type of offer before: I have an upcoming stay at a Doubletree that comes to $199 for the room rate, $227 after taxes. Terms say “Offer only valid on room rate and room charges,” so do you think there’s any chance this stay will qualify based on the total? Maybe I should order $26 worth of room service to bring the pre-tax charges up to $225? Thanks for any insight from those with experience!

Per terms: “Reservations must be made online at doubletree.com, via the Hilton Honors App or by calling 1-800-445-8667”

Would an existing reservation booked through hilton.com qualify or do I need to start over at doubletree.com?

I don’t think any Hilton hotel sells gift card at front desk.

The Tropicana in Las Vegas could make for an awesome double dip if you have this offer & an Aspire since it’s technically a Doubletree & counts for the $250 resort credit. You would make money on a 2-3 day stay.

I plan to do this for a 1 night stay at the Doubletree Scottsdale Paradise Valley. What’s better is that it is for a conference so I’ll get reimbursed for the stay, as well!

haha. first of all, I dont even know why u specifically mention the tropicana. ur statement is true regardless of resort property.

second, based on ur statement, I assume u have never been to tropicana and charged the amex aspire. when u try it, I promise u will have a good time.

I mention it because, although the Trop is unquestionably weak compared with other properties on the strip, try to find another that effectively will pay you to stay there with a credit like this. u Got one?

And, yes, I have stayed there and it qualified with Aspire.

well why dont you try stacking FHR + amex offers especially when they have free night deals. trop VIP is useless for me. i do M life and TR. you dont need a fake ass doubletree dump to “get paid” to stay on strip. altho the free parking, cookie, food credit, and diamond lounge is nice. but its still a casino. thats their priority.

ive also tried to stack many deals at the trop. doesnt work. MCC coded as a trop. HH is just a high level loose marketing deal. hence you dont see logo shit outside and barely inside if you count the front desk. if the aspire credit worked for you, great, but i still dont see why bother if you go all the way to vegas, unless you live there.

I’m guessing you didn’t add the offer before, and then it reached the maximum number of people and disappeared? I added the offer before and it’s still on my account.
