combine gc function has been down a while
oh really..so no way to pay large amount of hotel booking.. I was thinking a payment of 3k on hotels.com for an upcoming trip
You just have to call. They say they can only combine 5 cards per call and you then have to call back. You can sometimes get them to do more but not a big deal calling again. The process isn’t as nice as doing it online but not bad.
There is a 2k limit per card though and you can only use one card per booking.

Looks like you can convert other GC’s into Hotels.com GC’s. Walmart and Best Buy $100 GC’s convert to $98.79 and $96.57 Hotels.com GC, respectively. Seems like this would create some opportunities if you can get a killer deal on another GC, or just want to unload some GC’s laying around.
Hmm not sure, I guess it depends considering that you can find Hotel.com GC discounted 15-20%.
I like the idea,. I know that some AD Military have multiple PT cards (AF is waived) and they get Saks GC which can be converted into large Saks GC.
But if you have a B&M Saks near you but have little interest in $50 of socks etc then $50 GC could be a nice swap 2X/3X.

Even tho I’ve never used Hotel.com GC this is a lot better than the less useful offers i.e. Hilton Hawaii or Bonvoy US Only Properties cash back offers, the location limitations make them much less useful.
But 20% off can be useful if you don’t have points or status in some locale’s.

with regards to amex offfers and giftcards my saks offer for 50 off 250 of spending on my amex card would that work if i bought gift cards in store or online? i forgot what you wrote about buying igft cards after applying for offers and i cant find it,
