Update 10/12/21: Another version of this offer is now available until December 31, 2021. I assume it won’t show up on cards that already have the deal until 10/18/21.

Our Verdict
Nice deal if you have a planned stay anyway, otherwise not that exciting.

Any chance the Palazzo in LV would count? It is an Intercontinental Hotel Partner.
Data point: I had the offer and used the one expiring 10/18. I wasn’t targeted for this new offer. My sister also had the offer expiring 10/18 and it went unused. Her expiration is now 12/31.
P1 and P2 offers were unused and got extended thru 12/31. A couple of others also got extended.
Anyone knows if you prepaid a non-US hotel, would the credit apply?
No
I had the 10/18/21 deal saved, as of today it now shows an expiration of 12/31/21.
Would this stack with $200 FHR credit you get for pre-paid bookings with platinum card?
It won’t stack, since the room will be charged by Amex travel (a third party booking). But if your hotel charges are $300 or more on your folio (meals, parking, drinks, etc.), you will get the credit. Or more likely, if you hit $150, you will be half way there for a future stay by the offer deadline.
Thanks! Added it to my Green Card which as far as I can tell is the best choice for an Amex non-prepaid stay at Intercontinentals! With all the resort fees for two rooms + parking I think I’ll be pretty close to hitting the $300 on a 2 night points stay at the Intercon in San Diego next month.
