Our Verdict

They had a similar deal recently but that required $200 in spend for $50 back. Seen some good AmEx offers recently (e.g Delta).  In the past purchasing gift cards at the front desk has triggered the offer despite the terms.

I booked a stay at the Cosmopolitan in Vegas under their First Responder discount (25% off). I had to call in to the hotel to do it per their website. This is a Marriott property that isn’t excluded, but I didn’t book it on Marriott.com or on the official Marriott phone #. I wonder if this will still trigger the $75 back…

Anyone know any reliable website to offload the Marriott giftcard? Cardpool does not take Marriott now.

The $75 off $250 offer is on the Amex Connect website now, and can be added to any of your cards, including Bluebird & Serve.

If I book a prepaid stay now for $200, and spend another $50 on room charges, will I get the credit? Didn’t seem clear to me from the terms. Thanks.

Not for Advanced Purchase Rate. For other reservations, there will be a single transaction at the end of your stay, so it should work.

Yes, you can do that if you didn’t book the Advanced Purchase Rate.

If i were to pay for a family memeber’s stay at a property would that count towards the credit? I have no travel plans but since this came up thought maybe I would do it for a family memeber if possible.

Even better if you charge them to your Brilliant card and get the $250 yearly credit.

I also just got targeted for a variety of Hilton hotels through Amex Offers. $50 off $175 at Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn, $60 off $225 at DoubleTree and Tapestry, and $60 off $250 at Hilton, Curio Collection, Canopy, Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites, and Home2. Not as good as the Marriott offer, but also worth a mention  William Charles

Those offers can even be added to Bluebird & Serve, apart from other Amex cards that Amex doesn’t directly operate.
