The Offer
No direct link to offer, e-mail subject line is ‘Earn bonus miles this summer!’. Seems to be offered on a lot of Barclays cards (Aviator, JetBlue, Uber, Choice, Wyndham, Arrival)
- Barclays has sent out spending bonuses deal is as follows, spend 5X miles for every $1 spent on grocery store, drug store and restaurant purchases, up to 20,000 miles, from 5/15/2021 to 7/31/2021
- There is another variation of this offer where you earn an additional 20,000 points when you spend $3,000+ within that period
Must enroll by May 25th.Â
Our Verdict
Normally the caps on these offers aren’t very good at all. This is obviously a great offer for anybody with a lot of spend in those categories not currently chasing a sign up bonus (or with extra spend). These are in addition to the points you normally earn on each card as well.
These miles didn’t post for me, I secure messaged Barclays asking why. They confirmed I was enrolled in the promotion but that I had no qualifying activity.
I spent $3k at Simon mall during the window. I didn’t care about getting the 5x grocery miles, I was just going for the 20k for $3k spend bonus, which implied all purchases made count as long as you hit $3k spend.
Maybe I interpreted the terms wrong, but I will fight them until they get more specific in their explanation.

To echo others the points are showing up for this statement period on Barclays. We’ll see in a week when the statement closes what happens.
Finally and yes it is on barclay acct but not trueblu yet.

Yep, it’s there in my Barclays account too! Nothing in JetBlue TrueBlue, but my billing cycle hasn’t ended yet, so guess it will be deposited when that happens.
same! i only see it via the Barclays mobile app, but my statement cuts on the 26th so i’ll probably see it in my JB app after that.

Still have not received anything. Barclay is the only one of MY cards that takes a while for bonus points
to come. If they come at all.

I was counting on mid-September, but upon checking again it seems the max window they have to give us the bonus points is 8 weeks after July 31, which is Sept 25. Hopefully we get the points by then. Never know with Barclays, ugh.
Are they known to batch post bonuses on a specific date (irrespective of statement closing date(s)?
This is my first experience with a random Barclays bonuses. From browsing DoC archives it seems like they posted for everyone at the same time in March 2021. Right at the 6 week mark. Meanwhile here we are at the 8 week mark, so who knows?
