[Targeted] Chase Starbucks Spending Bonus: Spend $2,000 & Get 2,000 Bonus Stars

Update 9/30/21: Chase has sent this offer out again.

The Offer

Targeted offer sent out via e-mail. Subject line is ‘You’ve been chosen…”

  • Chase is offering some existing Starbucks cardholders an additional 2,000 bonus Stars when they spend $2,000 by December 31, 2020

The Fine Print

  • No need to enroll
  • Valid until 12/31/2020

Our Verdict

This is almost like a mini sign up bonus for existing users, current sign up bonus is 6,500 stars. 2,000 stars is 40 cups of coffee, so pretty good deal for people that like Starbucks.

Is it still worth it at ten dollars a cup?

I wish they bring back the 6500 stars signup bonus. Right now it is 4500 stars

Only raffle tickets… I feel that they toned down the number of free stars

Agree. Never won anything. Decided it wasn’t worth the effort.

Same. I’ve won 10 free stars, 3 half-off coupons for “handcrafted beverages”…and raffle tickets. Complete waste of time. It seems like the games get worse every time. 🙁

That much coffee means a lot of visits to pooptown.

Like every other single-use troll who has never stepped inside a Starbucks store, you probably think Starbucks only sells coffee.

Let’s not pretend coffee products aren’t their biggest enterprise….

Some nuked sandwhiches and bakery goods doesn’t make them a full-serve kitchen.

Good call, Tina ..what I should have said was “that much coffee (combined with other items that Starbucks also sells) mean a lot of visits to pooptown.” Our point: all roads lead to pooptown. Thanks again for the helpful critique..

It’s a regular visa.. can be used anywhere. The way I end up redeeming the points, it’s worth somewhere between $300-$400 for me.

I still vaguely remember the time about 10 years ago, when you could get a cup of coffee for like 10 to 20 stars. They’re giving 2000 stars now? How many cups does it even give you?!

It’s 50 a cup now. So that’s 40 cups of coffee, for which they would charge you about $2.50. So translates to about $100. Can also get handcrafted drinks for 150, which gets you more calories per star, but generally not more nutrition except for the milk.
