Does reloading Amazon gift card balance trigger the promo?

Which cards are you getting these offers on? Have the Citi dividend, Citi Premier and Costco Citi Visa but nothing anywhere.

Gotta say, Citi offers have been excellent lately. I’ve had 5x grocery, gas, pharmacy, and transit continuously since Nov across at least one of five cards, 5x online shopping through the holidays, and now this.

It worked on the reload. The $20 credit didn’t post until statement closed.

Got this offer. Does Amazon account need to be under my names? Will purchase of Amazon gift card work?

Got the targeted email and linked my card.. did not see any error message…However mine is 5% cashback as a statement credit upto $20. Therefore, it is not as good as $20 back on $120 purchase… Is gift card purchase eligible for the 5% back up to $20?

How do you know that your card is linked? I got no error message either, but also no message that my card was now linked. I can’t figure out how to tell whether my card is actually linked.

well – Once it is done, I went to my amazon account and checked if the card is there. I never added it to my account, but I see it now after having gone thru the process (clicked the email and accepted terms etc.. then it asked me to log-into my amazon account to finalize it). Also got an email from citi card saying “successfully added to amazon”

Got the same $20/5% offer. After I finished linking my card, on Amazon website it gave me an options something along the lines of “shop on amazon”, “return to citi”, “something else”. I returned to Citi and it was the same card hub page I started on but at the top it said something along the lines of “your card has been linked to amazon”

I received the targeted email but have been unable to get the card added to Amazon. I first tried the online option and followed the instuctions in the email but never could get to the point to log in to my Amazon account. It just took me back to the Citi homepage. So I am almost positive that my card is not linked. I then tried the mobile app option. When I got to the point to use the Card Control Hub, I got the message “Something went wrong, we are unable to access your cards at this time”. Has anybody had any luck in getting cards added to Amazon?

That’ll happens 90% of the time for me. After 2-3 attempts I’ll chat and copy and paste the offer text into chat in the Citi app. They add, it works.
