Our Verdict

Most people have three bills they can switch for an easy $30. Just remember to change those payments back to a card that earns at a higher rate on those purchases after you’re done.

Any DP on streaming services… i.e. Netflix, Hulu, YouTubeTV qualifying as a recurring utility?

I think the glitch is that the transaction has to be identified by the service provider as a recurring payment. Looking at my past transactions, Cox and Comcast don’t do this. First Energy (EZPay), CentruyLink (speedpay) and Verizon (APOCC) do identify and should be O.K. as long as Synchrony knows these pet names for recurring payments.

I got a similar email but only offering the 1%, blah.
