Test Drive A Cadillac Earn Up To 7,500 AAdvantage Miles Additional Information

A few days ago Fly2travel posted about a new partnership between Cadillac and American Airlines. AA will be using Cadillac’s for tight tarmac transfers at some airports. The most interesting part of the press release was the fact that AAdvantage customers will be able to test drive a Cadillac and earn up to 7,500 miles for doing so. Earlier in the year they offered a $100 cash bonus for test driving a Cadillac. I’d personally prefer the $100 in cash to the 7,500 miles, but I’m sure that a lot of people will jump for joy for this new offer.

I contacted a friend who works for Cadillac and he said that the American Airlines offer will be extremely similar to the $100 cash offer. There were a few pieces of information we found out from that promotion that is worth repeating:

  • Not available to employees or those associated with GM (AA workers will be eligible according to my friend)
  • Limited number of offers available (e.g GM will basically purchase X miles, once they run out the offer will no longer be available)
  • Must be over the age of 21 and have insurance
  • Must have a 2004 or newer vehicle non GM vehicle (this will be changed to 2005 for the AAdvantage offer)
  • Test drive lasts for 30 minutes
  • Do not tell your sales person that you’re only there for the free miles and don’t actually want the car. When people did this for the $100 offer, the sales person said no worries and that they would process the paper work. They didn’t. Make sure you get printed out confirmation that your information has been submitted BEFORE you leave the dealership
  • Limit of on offer per household (even if it isn’t clearly stated in the fine print)

I love earning money for test driving cars, so much so that we have a whole category on this for the blog. Earlier in the year there was another $25 on offer for test driving a Kia and I’ve received a lot of targeted offers from various car manufacturers as well (more on this in the future). Hopefully Cadillac will let me double dip and earn the $100 bonus and 7,500 miles bonus, I doubt it but one can hope.
