The Fine Print
- No purchase necessary.
- Test drive not required in MD, NJ, OH and TN.
- Participants must have a valid US driver’s license and comprehensive auto insurance, be 25 years or older and sign a test-drive waiver to participate.
- Valid at participating dealerships; one per customer.
- Offer is non-transferrable and valid for the scheduled date and time only. D

Our Verdict
They have offered a similar deal in previous years and there is no credit check or anything like that. It seems dealers have a lot more discretion than with other test drive offers, so no guarantee they will actually offer it to you. You can also request to have the car for two days instead of one (again at the discretion of the dealer). As always please share your experiences in the comments.
Got my gift card when I picked up the car. Took a 1 minute survey after returning the car and that was it. I thought a sales person would call me afterwards but nothing.
just called all 3 dealers in CT. None are participating as Lincoln corporate ended it early. The dealer in Stamford said I could get the car (any Lincoln) for 24 hrs, but no gift card.
$100 gift card was handed out with key. When returned car, General Manager came in, said hi, and left. No pressure to purchase the car. I think Ford is trying to bring awareness to a luxury hybrid car in it’s fleet.
Had a great experience at the Stamford, CT location. Got the $100 gift card on the spot, test drove a nice MKZ overnight, quick chat when i returned the car.
Southern CA location. Picked up a brand new MKZ on Sunday afternoon and returned on Monday night. Unlimited mileage, was told no need to refill gas.

Did you have to call and make an appointment? How did you go about scheduling a time to pick it up?
Any DPs about spouses being able to get a second test drive and gift card? It says one per customer, but not one per household.
I was told it’s meant to be a date night (well, duh) so I doubt that would fly. Also 24 hour minimum and need to write a review.
So per person it’s really closer to a $50 bonus (unless you go solo).
My dealership is an hour drive from home so I will pass.
They didn’t ask for my spouse’s name so I don’t see how they would know.

No they won’t see her. I’ll pick it up and drop it off by myself. I know they’re calling it date night but there was no mention of them needing to meet the date LOL.
Got MKZ in Paramus, NJ for entire Columbus day weekend (picked up Sat morning, returned Mon evening). Here in Bergen County everything must be closed on Sundays due to blue laws, so any Saturday pickup will translate into entire weekend:)
$100 card was given with the keys, full tank of gas included – was told there is no need to refill. Mileage was stated as 999 in the papers, but was told to ignore that as well. Paperwork they give you to sign is basically a dealer loaner vehicle contract with $0 total. Took approx. 20 mins to pick up and 5 mins to drop off.
