[Expired] Topcashback: 10% Back On Raise.com

Update: Looks like TCB is no longer offering cash back on Raise.

Update 2/18/19: Deal is back again for today. Stack with 7% off Raise sitewide today.

Update 2/10/19: Deal is back again (though it confuses me that it also shows the 2% rate). A lot of people are reporting only receiving 2% back.

Update 2/8/19: Deal is back and it does stack with the 6% off deal on dining cards as that promo code is listed on TCB.

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Topcashback is offering 10% cash back on Raise, today only

The Fine Print

  • “Raise Pay” purchases are non-commissionable
  • Orders submitted over $1000 are not eligible for cash back.
  • Bulk Seller listings are not eligible for cashback.
  • Using a promotional/coupon code not posted and approved by TopCashback. If you use a code that we have not provided you with then there is a strong chance that your cashback will be declined or go untracked to your account.
  • Orders submitted under $20 are not eligible for cash back.
  • After you have placed over $5,000 in lifetime purchases on Raise.com, you will no longer be eligible for cash back.

Our Verdict

Keep in mind the lifetime limit of $5,000. If you don’t already have a Topcashback account remember you can currently get $25 for signing up as well.

Here’s to hoping the $4k in gift cards I ordered tracked (4 separate orders). Glad I could help out and find a deal for the blog and thanks for all the $ you’ve saved me over the last 2 years!

so we can’t use the promo codes sent to us directly by raise if we want to take advantage of this 10% cash back offer?

Thanks DoC!!! I bought $200 Giant Eagle and $200 Walmart GC’s. I also used my BofA card and received 3.3% back on it for an online retail purchase.

If I buy gift cards, will this help me in meeting MSR for Amex Platinum card or it will be coded under L3?
I’ve spent about 3K so far with Groceries, Plastiq, Train tickers, Car insurance, Mobile bills and etc.

You’ll be fine!

From past posts you can see that merchant GC are not considered as cash equivalent: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/amex-updates-terms-exclude-peer-payments-cash-equivalents-amex-gc-earning-points/

Any way to get around the $5k cap? Would a second tcb account work or do you also need a separate raise account?

lei

Guess a different TCB account will be needed.

Josh

I was wondering the same thing myself. I think I’m going to make a new tcb and raise account and see what happens.

Raise won’t even let my wife and I use the same promo code so just a heads up. They must track via address or something – worth a try though. Please report back!

I don’t think TCB account has anything to do with it. I crossed 5k and even Yazing doesn’t track for me now. You have to create a new raise account.

Alex
Alex

That hasn’t been my experience, but not saying you’re wrong. I’ve surpassed $5k on tcb, but the BA portal (usually 5-6 avios) has continued to track for me.

RM
RM

The $5k limit is a TCB limit, not a Raise one. Different portals have different lifetime limits for Raise. For example, the limit on Giving Assistant is $15k, and Lemoney is $10k.

Chuck

I believe it’s actually enforced on Raise’s end based on your account usage. Not sure how they manage to enforce the varying lifetime limits, but presumably they have different affiliate deals, and their system knows to recognize each one differently.

Vis-a-vis: “Bulk Seller listings are not eligible for cashback”

How does one figure out if a gc is a bulk seller listing?

I’d also like to know. This is probably the cause of the ‘non tracking’ others experience

I’ve bought only half a dozen or so, and have had the tracking problem.

Just out of curiosity, are you using Chrome when those transactions haven’t tracked? I seem to have better luck using Edge for Topcashback.

Chuck

Yeah, that’s ridiculous. Most cards sold on Raise are from bulk sellers. They should just pull the entire offer if they’re enforcing this, not worth the confusion.

My cashbacks from raise are always missing. So I am out

I share the experience. I probably only have a 50% tracking rate on Raise.com via TopCashBack

Any card to buy at all? I did not even see Walmart card

They have tons of WM gift cards, if you don’t mind them in the form of E-Gift cards or vouchers.

Tried one more time and didn’t track… never again with TCB and raise

I just tried raise on TCB and doesn’t seem like it tracked. If it does track, how long does it take to typically show up?

am I the only one seeing 2% cashback? where is the 10%?

Larry
Larry

TCB says 10% for purchases over $20, EXCEPT 2% for these specific GCs:

Purchase of select Gift Cards $20 or more.
– Includes: Sears, Sears In-Store, Kmart, Kmart In-Store, Starbucks, Amazon, Nordstrom, Staples, Best Buy, Bloomingdale’s, Macys, Hyatt, iTunes. Gift Card Listings will receive no cashback.

Josho

Are there any DPs on the $5k spend limit? So far, I have received cashback on $6,651.19 in purchases, claimed (not including pending and denied). Transactions date back to 8/2/2017.

Josho
Josho

Nevermind, I misunderstood. $5k limit applies to Raise only, not total transactions across all merchants.
