Deal has expired, view current UberEats promo codes by clicking here.

The Offer

  • UberEats is offering free delivery with promo code BIGGAME19

The Fine Print

  • Valid until 11:55pm PT on 2/4/19

Our Verdict

One time use. Can be used with the American Express Platinum credit. For more UberEats promo codes click here (note: they cannot be stacked). Might be better than the free delivery deal we posted yesterday depending on how much delivery is.

Do you tip the driver? I always do but wonder what’s the proper etiquette.
I normally order to use my Amex credit but after delivery fee and tip, I feel like $15 suddenly feels like $7.

Most people don’t tip, unless they order pizza. There’s been YouTube videos about it.

The app is pretty clear, too, that tipping is optional.

You can but I wouldn’t. Tipping in America is way out of control and tip inflation is ridiculous these days. It used to be okay to tip just 10% and now some entitled servers think they deserve at least 20% or else you’re a cheapskate. Even UberEats makes you enter a custom tip of $0 in order to not tip. But all the ridiculous pressure to tip has just worked the other way on me, now I’m immune to tip shaming and don’t blink an eye at tipping $0 on deliveries and counter serve food, 10-12% on full service restaurants.

You don’t have to tip 0 in UberEats, there’s an option to skip the tip altogether in Uber, and it’s officially presented as optional and not required.

Personally, I’m of the opinion that tipping for “free” food is optional (including PriorityPass restaurants), but if getting a proper meal on a cash basis (well, credit card, obviously), I still tip the 20% for service or as applicable, or 10% for takeout if it involves someone picking up all the individual items for me (e.g., on a big sushi order when my company is footing the bill, and the cashier has to assemble lots of individual items into a bag).

But I ain’t tipping cash for 0,00 net due on a PriorityPass receipt; it’s not my fault they get 28,00 per visit, yet claim to not be capable of using it to pay fair wages of their employees. I’d totally tip there if PP allowed it out of the credits; I think they ought to make it mandatory and covered under the credits, and this is precisely a good time to get rid of this tipping culture we have here in the states.

worked with a shared delivery option that provides no delivery fee if ordered within 5 minutes. So ended up getting free delivery plus an additional $5 off

It’s actually free delivery and not just $5 off. Just placed an order where delivery was $6.49 and entire delivery fee was wiped off. Reverse happens too. If delivery fee is $3.99, only $3.99 gets taken off and not the entire $5.

Could it be you have the code from yesterday as well… as it applies first free delivery?
