The Fine Print
- Unfortunately, we cannot ship to the following areas: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, Utah or Virgin Islands. Cocktail kits cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
- Limit 2 per cardholder
Our Verdict
Seems like a fun event, especially if you have some orphan miles that need using. Not as good as some of the previous events miles wise, but still useful for some.

There’s one new event for cardholder in Nov: Chef Meg from Commander’s Palace restaurant. Each meal kit is good for 2 pax, 3000 miles per meal kit.
Meal kit includes:
Appetizer: Commander’s Palace Famous Gulf Shrimp & Okra Gumbo
Entrée: Black Angus Beef Short Ribs with Marchand de Vin sauce, served with Mushrooms, Asparagus, and Whipped Creole Cream Cheese Stone Ground Grits.
Dessert: Apple Cobbler made with Pumpkin Spiced Granny Smith Apples and Cinnamon Brown Butter, baked into a sweet cake with toasted pecan and oat streusel.

So has anyone gotten the cocktail kit yet?
Received the kit today and was very impressed for 1500 miles. Nice bottle of bourbon, a small shaker and shot measure, a can of truffle potato chips, limes, lemons, hibiscus tea and salt, and four little bottles of flavored simple syrups. The boutique quality reminds one of a gift basket from Harry & David or similar.
I tried getting it with all the tips mentioned here, and nothing worked.
Until I searched my emails, and saw that I got an invitation. The email link worked.

Are you saying there is further targeting? I first had problems, but it seems to be a poorly implemented website. When I first followed the link, I was told I needed to log in, and then the offer was nowhere to be found anymore. But I found that if I then went back to the same link in the DoC post (while already logged in), the site would let me order.
I tried every which way I could. I just cant see the offer when logged in. My card is a business card. Maybe that is the issue. “Items may also be restricted to certain member levels and cardholders.”
Try logging into your united miles account with a different tab first and then try the link again. That worked for me.
I’m a biz card holder and dont see the offer once I log in. Before I log in, it says 159 left.

I got all excited and then saw that this is only for the cardholders. Boo.
I didn’t manage to get this one, but I grabbed a wild Zabar’s charcuterie kit + class offer United sent to cardholders last month (1,000 miles per kit, limit of two). I can’t determine if the website is always terrible or just can’t handle an influx of traffic (guessing the latter). I went claws up for the charcuterie deal, it’s by far my best redemption of the COVID era, sadly.
TPG values this event at $300. What a steal for only 1500 miles!
