Walmart will finally begin accepting tap-to-pay methods, such as Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Wallet, or tapping your credit card. Previously, Walmart resisted tap, instead pushing customers toward their own Walmart Pay system. Of course regular credit cards and cash payments will be an option as well.
Timeline:
- Select Walmart and Sam’s Clubs starting 8/24/26
- All US Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs by the end of 2026
- Fuel stations by mid-2027
