Walmart To Launch Walmart+ Credit Card

Earlier this week we posted that Walmart plans to launch Walmart+ later this month. Walmart+ aims to be a competitor to Amazon’s popular Prime service. In addition to this launch of Walmart+, Walmart will also launch a new Walmart+ credit card. Currently Capital One issues the Capital One Walmart Rewards Card and Capital One is expected to issue this new card as well. At this stage we don’t have any ideas on the benefits or fee structure of this new card.

I’m not interested in Walmart. There’s no value nor any rewards for this card

If Wal-Mart is listening, how about free shipping for card holders like Target? Doesn’t have to be overnight/2-day as far as I’m concerned. Might make it worthwhile dealing with Crapital One.

If it’s Walmart+ is anything like Amazon Prime, this new card will likely require a Walmart+ subscription ($98/year).

If this is indeed the case, that’s gonna be a no from me, dawg

I can see Walmart+ competing nicely with big, bulky items. Seldom have I ever had to return an item to Amazon, but the couple of times I have had to return something, it is a bit of a pain and takes a bit of time. Returning items to a local Walmart would be easier.

Unless you don’t live in a major city returning things to Amazon is super easy now. You can return things to any Whole Foods or any Amazon warehouse. Most cities have 3-4 Amazon warehouses. You don’t even need to box up the item. Just do the return on your phone, walk into the location, hand them the item and they scan your phone. Easy peasy. You can also do a return at an Amazon locker but you do need to box up the item, print an attach the malling label.

Also you can return Amazon items at Kohl’s. Same process.

UPS stores also work. They can print out the label for you too.

Vanon, question. Is the return shipping free via UPS stores?

Was the last time I returned something. That said, it was a very small item, weighing less than a pound.

Most (all?) have been free return shipping when selecting the UPS option. I think I might’ve had 1 item that charged for shipping, so I returned it using the Kohl’s option.

I was tempted by Walmart’s previous sign-up bonus for a free 2L bottle of soda but was holding out for the free pumpkin. Hopefully my day will now come.

The Amex T&C will state you will earn 5x on your MC purchases, but the RAT will bite your choice PIN typing finger before cashier Karen even has the chance to accuse you of foul play…
