William Charles  Chuck This style offer popped up again:

Received tonight from Wells Fargo Earn More Mall.  William Charles  Chuck Targeted and requires activation.

Subj: Don’t miss earning 15 Bonus Pts/$1 on gas

Earn 15 Bonus Pts/$1 on multiple purchases at gas stations, up to maximum rewards of 500 Bonus Points per transaction, now through 5/22/2022.

Unfortunately, unless my math is off, this maxes out at $33.33 per transaction. Guess you can hang up the pump and go again if your tank takes more than 5-8 gallons? (hopefully, I’m not the guy you pull behind at the pump with my 35-gallon tank)

My email link would not activate on a desktop computer Edge browser but worked on Android Chrome mobile.

Yep. Same here. Got the confirmation email last night. If past patterns hold, money should be in rewards balance tomorrow. Think i’ll have cleared $450. Not bad.

Thought I would give this one last comment, this weekend Albertson stores (Vons, Safeway, jewel Oslo, acme, etc) is having a 20% off liquor sale that they regularly run (by 6 get 20%). Combined with the 15% that is the kind of savings you never see.

Does expiring on the 6th typically mean including the 6th?

If you read the offer details, which is presumably the same for everyone, it says, “Offer expires 03-06-2022 11:59pm ET”

since this is expiring soon does anyone know if we will get points as long as the transaction is made by the end date or does the charge have to actually post bu the end date to get the 15x?

For the GC transactions I made at Kroger, the transaction and posting dates were the same. But as others said, it takes 2-4 days to have the bonuses earned, and the day I received the confirmation e-mail is also different from the day I actually see the bonus in the account.

The T&C of the offer says:
The grocery store offer is applicable on multiple grocery store purchases during the offer validity period, up to a maximum reward of $15 Bonus Cash Rewards per transaction. The restaurant offer is applicable on multiple restaurant purchases during the offer validity period, up to a maximum reward of $15 Bonus Cash Rewards per transaction.

My reading of the T&C is that it says “purchases during the offer validity period.”

DP: Been doing this deal at Kroger buying $100 GC 6 times a day since about 10 days ago (6 times because more than that the card won’t be authorized). I potentially can do more than 6 times a day if I make multiple trips to stores, but I’m running out of ideas what GC to buy.

It works every time. I set auto redemption for every $25 back to the account to make sure it doesn’t get accumulated in the reward account.

At the store, you can buy Happy Brand GC. It’s basically just a piece of code and you need to redeem it online. Once redeemed online, you can click to save the GC to Google Pay and less risk of losing it. Those Happy Brand GCs cover a variety of stores. I also bought a lot of Netflix and Amazon GC, and they can be loaded in the online a/c immediately.

I tried to buy Verizon GC, but there’s a $1 fee + 8% tax with the GC. I still don’t understand it. I just voided the transaction at store.

They don’t sell Verizon gift cards. Those are prepaid refill PINs.

They charge all the same taxes and fees as you would pay on cell phone line.

How do you do 6 transactions a day? Ask the employees nicely? Are they allowed to do this?

Kroger near me lets you buy gift cards on the self checkout. So does Walmart. Helps avoid the questioning looks. Although only have done 2-3 a day because of a previous report or two of WF shutting people down who are going too nuts.

I was concerned as well. At first, on the first day I just did 2, but it went thru. So I did 6 the next time, and all went well. Then I’ve been doing 6 since then.

Nice! Stop & Shop does not allow buying gift cards at the self checkout. I tried with both Amazon and grocery gift cards.

Self checkout. I don’t talk to anyone at store. I actually bring a stapler, so I stapled the receipts to the GC, one by one, at the checkout machine. The self check out staff has seen me so often that they don’t bother at all. They probably think I’m buying GCs for business purposes.

I do all 6 GC one by one within like 3 min, and if I do the 7th one, the transaction is too close and I think it’s over the limit within a short period of time.

I’ve bought several $500 visa gift cards ($5.95 act fee) at Safeway on different days and asked the cashier to split the payments into five $100 increments. The successive $100 charges all paid out 15% without any issues.

Theres a lot of other cards you could buy- restaurants, the actual grocery store itself, target, amazon, apple, eBay, gas stations, etc. Those places are never going to get that kind of discount level usually.
Also you can buy stamps and liquor, both of which almost never are discounted.

I have been getting some weird results, I activated the promo on Feb 25th because I just found out about it. I never got an email letting me know I had such a promotion attached to my card so lost a couple of days. Back to the point, after I activated on the 25th I waited about an hour and headed to Kroger and bought a 100 GC. I finally got the Wells Fargo rewards mall email on Feb 28th stating that I get the $15, but on the rewards mall itself it shows $1 pending for when my statement closes.

During all of this I made stops daily to Kroger and Randells to buy $100 GC each day, so in total 4 GC. I haven’t received the rewards mall mail for the transactions made on Feb 26th, 27th, or 28th yet but they all show on the rewards mall as only getting $1 reward for when my statement closes.

Oddly enough, I went to Kroger again today, March 1, to buy another 100GC and that one has already posted on Rewards Mall as giving me $15. I can only assume that $15 dollars is tied to my transaction today because it says Transaction Date and Posting Date both as March 1.

Has anyone else been running into this? Are we supposed to be getting $16 dollars back if we have a WellsFargo card that already gives us 1% cash back?

Most of my earn more mall grocery rewards posted 4 days after a transaction. A few did take a bit longer to post. My transaction on Feb 25 finally posted today.

Yes, I am getting my regular 1% or 1.5% (can’t remember) on top of the 15%. The 1% won’t be available till the end of the cycle, it shows pending.

In my experience the email notification is not 100% reliable and sometimes it didn’t arrive at all. I would think their systems overwhelmed, probably it has not seen this rate of transactions in a very long time. lol

Are these Kroger GC you are buying or VGC or some other brand?

Yes you should get $16 for $100 purchase at Grocery.

Things seem to be working as advertised now after a couple of days. I haven’t gotten the emails, but around 1PM every day for the past couple of days my rewards account has been updated to reflect the $15 reward for each transaction with a couple day delay for each corresponding transaction.

I am purchasing Disney, Amazon, Delta gift cards. No actual Kroger or Visa Gift cards (these have activation fees that I don’t think are worth it).

Can anyone confirm that this is still working? I have a few transactions that show 100 pts pending each that posted today, as shown in my history. But, I also have a transaction from a couple days ago that shows 100 pts available for that single transaction. Hope it still works. TIA
