The Offer
- Chartway Federal Credit Union is offering a $250 bonus when you open a new checking account and meet the following requirements in the same calendar month:
- Enroll in eStatements
- Deposit at least $500
- Make 10 debit card purchases
The Fine Print
- Offer valid to individuals without a current Chartway Credit Union (Chartway) membership.
- Offer limited to Utah residents who open account in Herriman branch or through promotional landing page only.
- Must be 18 years or older to qualify.
- Offer limited to one (1) $250 bonus per member. Multiple Cash Back accounts will not be eligible for an additional $250 bonus.
- To earn $250 bonus, you must 1. Qualify for and open a Membership with Chartway. 2. Open a new Cash Back Checking account, 3. Perform a minimum of 10 debit card purchases monthly using your Cash Back Checking debit card (does not include such activities as ATM transactions, account transfers, or small-value reloads), 4. enroll in electronic statements with a valid email address, and 5. Make $500 or more in new money deposits within a monthly cycle into your Cash Back Checking account.
- The $250 Bonus will not be deposited into any account with a negative balance and will be forfeited. The $250 bonus will be deposited into your Cash Back checking account the calendar month following meeting the above qualifications. (e.g. Qualifications met in June will be paid by July 17, 2026. Qualifications met in July will be paid by August 14, 2026. Qualifications met in August will be paid by September 18, 2026. Qualifications met in September will be paid by October 16, 2026.

Our Verdict
Chartway was once available nationwide and now bonuses down to a specific state, although this seems to be for a new branch opening so not particularly surprising. Main issue is ChexSystems sensitivity.
