  • Wyndham is selling points for 0.93¢ per point

The Fine Print

  • Valid until 1/16/2020

Our Verdict

All Wyndham points cost 7,500, 15,000 or 30,000 points per night. There can still be some good value to be had with purchasing these points, but I wouldn’t buy unless you had a specific redemption in mind. Deal can be made slightly better by going through a portal (I think Topcashback is the best with 2.5% back).

William Charles Any idea of how to navigate from the points.com page TCB takes you to so that you can get to the storefront area where you buy Wyndham Points? I think this could be good value for Hawaii at about $140/night.

Anyone know if purchasing wyndham points can be redeemed for travel credit on the Barclay Arrival+?

Bad deal with most of the medium to high end properties at 30K per night. 15K gets you Days Inn, Motel 6 and other cheap properties. You are better off paying cash to book your wyndham reservations.

Why try looking for value? Wtf… In a couple months we’re staying 2 nights in Hawaii, the property is going for about $300/nt. it’s 15k booked post devaluation.

I’m not planning to purchase speculatively but don’t write it off.

since you can transfer points with caesars rewards at a 1:1 ratio you’d be buying $1 worth of caears rewards (redeem for food comps) for .93c for a 7% gain

Also, entry into Laurel Lounges requires using points, so it gives people access that otherwise couldn’t get in.

Not true anymore, unless you earned 15K Tier last year. Matched status clearly spelled out in terms, no entry, unless over 15K tier last year. Looks like I got hosed 2k short.

When did you match? I visited the Diamond lounges in AC at least a dozen times in 2018 for 10 comp dollars or 1K points per visit (matched from Wyndham). http://lazytravelers.net/benefit-from-wyndham-rewards-points-sale/

Grant — Are you sure about that? Please provide link to matched status terms. Note that Caesars site seems to indicate you can get in for 1000 Tier Rewards if you have fewer that 25000 Tier Credits — https://totalrewards.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/760/~/las-vegas—laurel-lounge-locations

It must have not been spelled out clearly enough since you seemed to have read it wrong.

Would have been worth a year ago when “all properties” were at 15K. (Including all inclusive resorts) but now its too little too late…
