The Offer

Direct link to offer (keep in mind, this won’t work for everyone. If it says ‘This offer is no longer available.’ you’re not eligible)

  • Some people are being offered a sign up bonus of 50,000 points after $15,000 in spend on  the American Express Blue Business Plus card

Card Details

  • 2x Membership Rewards points on all purchases for the first $50,000 per calendar year
  • 1x Membership Rewards points on all other purchases
  • No annual fee
  • No lifetime language
  • 0% APR for first 12 months

Our Verdict

This is bigger than the previous high offer of 30,000 points. This offer does require $15,000 in spend though, the plus is that this card earns 2x Membership Rewards on $50,000 in purchases per calendar year so works out to be a total of 80,000 points for $15,000 spend. Great offer if you are eligible, will add this to the YMMV section of the best card bonus page.

Update History:

  • Update 6/26/22: There’s a new landing page showing a 60k offer: the 50k offer with $15k spend in 12 months + 10k employee card offer after $1,000 spend within 3 months. Direct linkbe aware: after clicking the link your offer might change, so make sure you are interesting in the offer shown on the real application page. Offer valid through 6/30/22. (ht MrHugz30)
  • Update 2/25/22: More people targeted.

This appeared to be an attractive offer until I examined it more closely. Paying tax with this card does not count toward the spending requirement although you earn points on the transaction. Points taken as a statement credit are worth only 60% of what the points would be worth for selected gift cards. Points used on Amazon are only 70%. Some point transfers to airlines are at 100% like Delta but United and American are not available. It’s still good but not competitive with what other cards are offering. Verified all of the above with one of their reps.

Just got one of these in the mail. I already have a Blue Business Plus card so this is…odd. Wish I got a targeted offer for something else.

I called a couple of weeks ago to check for offers on this card, but the rep did not find any. Then this offer popped up out of nowhere.

Also received an offer for $500 statement credit after $15000 spend for the Blue Business Cash via an email offer a month ago.

It’s got o% APR. Anyone know if both the primary card’s and the employee card’s purchases will get 0% APR?

For those who have multiple business cards for the same business/EIN, did you get the SUB again? Or did a pop-up come up on your application that stated that you’re not eligible for the SUB?

Gonna get it, was waiting to see if they have this deal again. Got the cash one last year. FWIW I spent $20K last year on the business card and revolved the 0% APR they probably think I’m a hugely profitable customer

So, crazy. I got the email for this or the Cash Card. 50k+10+ for 15k in 12 months with 0%apr for 12 months. Legit looking email. From: [email protected]

Apparently it was a phishing as Amex has no record of ever emailing me on the date I provided. Nov 27th of this year. Kinda of scary. The application gave me an error.

“Prefer to apply by phone? 1-800-519-6736
Currently our system is not responding. Please try later or call us at 1-800-519-6736 to apply for a Card. We apologize for any inconvenience. To learn more about other flexible solutions you can use to manage and grow your business, please return to American Express Business Credit Cards.

The number provided didn’t work and routed me to a new Amex number “800-now-open,” that did work.

Are you sure it was phishing and just not a miss on their side? It has the correct domain of americanexpress.com

You can spoof the “from field” in an email pretty easily.

From a technical perspective, you can spoof the from field, but that is a HUGE red flag for spam algorithms, so it is almost always flagged and a faked one won’t get through.
