The Offer
- American Express are showing an offer for 75,000 Membership Rewards points after $7,000 in spend on their personal Platinum card. I wasn’t able to get the offer to show (tried incognito mode and different browsers) but a lot of readers have been able to get it to show (as well as some redditors). As always with these deals, they are YMMV but you can improve your chances by using incognito mode and different browsers.

The Fine Print
- Card earns 1x Membership Reward point per dollar spent
- Standard American Express Platinum Benefits:
- Airport Lounge Access Program and Priority Pass™ Select
- Fee Credit for Global Entry or TSA Pre✓™
- $200 Airline Fee Credit
- Annual fee of $450, not waived.
Our Verdict
You can only get American Express sign up bonuses once per lifetime now, it’s sometimes possible to get 100,000 points (after $3,000 in spend) but checking the American Express pre-approval checker and they have also offered sign up bonuses in mailers for 150,000 points (after $15,000 in spend).
Personally I’d recommend waiting until you get targeted for either of those offers, although this deal is much better than the standard 40,000 points on offer. Also please read these 20 things you should know about American Express credit cards before applying.
