[Expirer]Wells Fargo Propel World Now Listed On Wells Fargo Advisor Website, Still Available For Regular Sign Up Through Special Link

This link no longer works, you can still sign up in branch or by phone.

Last month we asked what was going on with the Wells Fargo Propel World card, we speculated that the card was being transitioned to invitation only for Wells Fargo advisor customers. It looks like this has now been confirmed, with the card being added to their advisors website.

Fortunately if you’re not a Wells Fargo Advisor customer, you can still get this card by using the following link: https://www.wellsfargo.com/wf/product/apply?prodSet=APP2K&prodCode=CC-AA (click continue and you’ll see details about the sign up bonus and benefits). I don’t think this link will still around long term, so you might want to pick the card up if you haven’t already (you can also churn the sign up bonus). Here is a quick snapshot of the card benefits:

  • Earn 40,000 bonus points with $3,000 in net purchases in the first 3 months.
  • Earn 3X points on Airlines, 2X on Hotels, and 1X on other net purchases.
  • Get up to $100 in reimbursements each year for qualifying incidental airline charges like airline lounges, baggage fees, and more
  • Annual fee of $175 is waived the first year

As always, read these things you should know about Wells Fargo before applying. You can also view our full review of this card here.

I just applied and was approved for the Am Ex Wells Fargo World Propel card. The application had to be taken over the phone and it was tedious. You also have to have a relationship with WF. I opened a checking account last month when the $250 bonus was offered. They offered me their VISA card which had a $200 cash bonus, but I went for the larger bonus. Now that I have the Propel card, I may try for the Visa also, since I have an invitation along with a preapproval number. They did not give me an instant approval, but the banker claimed it was probably because I applied after hours on a Fri afternoon and the underwriters had already left for the day. I was approved on Tues morning after providing additional identity information. I wanted to purchase a $3500 item over the weekend at a home show, but WF would not overnight the card, nor would they give me the number over the phone. I talked to numerous bankers and supervisors, and they would not budge. So of course, I bought the item with another credit card on Saturday and my new WF card arrived in the mail on Monday. Now I have to spend another $3000. I will not be keeping this card after my fee free year is up.

The link was still working Friday & I applied. Called to check on status today and I was declined for: 1) too many accounts recently opened & 2) too many recent inquiries. The would not reconsider. I’m at about 7/24 with almost all of the activity taking place in the past year. I have had a platinum card with Wells for a long time.

This link still works for normal customers. I just applied and was got a “we need to verify some more information, we’ll let you know” message. I called the phone number provided in my confirmation email and after verifying some basic information I was told I was approved. I have a mortgage and checking account with Wells Fargo. Thanks yet again William!

You can access your Wells Fargo score on desktop my simulating a mobile browser origin https://connect.secure.wellsfargo.com/auth/login/present?origin=mobilebrowser. Figured it out by accessing Wells Fargo using the Responsive Mode in Chrome to simulate logging in from an iPhone. This is response to a YMMV post about Wells Fargo Credit Score being available on desktop now https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/4zasik/update_wells_fargo_experian_fico_scores_now/

The Wells Fargo rule appears to be that you are only eligible for a bonus if you have not opened any WF card within that last 16 months. Here is the language from the Terms & Conditions in the application material found at the link you provide above for the Propel World card offer:

Eligibility for introductory rate(s), fees, and bonus rewards offers

If you have opened a Wells Fargo credit card account within 16 months of this application you will not be eligible for the above introductory APR(s) and fees or any bonus rewards offers described below even if that account has been closed and has a zero balance.

DP: my Propel World application was rejected because I’m not a permanent US resident (student visa).
