  • Spend $50+ on Amazon and pay with your linked Citi ThankYou Points and get $5 off the order when you use promo code 2017CITI5
  • Here’s what to do:
    • Link your eligible Citi card to your Amazon.com account here.
    • Add products sold and shipped by Amazon.com to your Shopping cart. This is important; it won’t work on marketplace items.
    • Enter the promo code 2017CITI5 in the box provided on the checkout page.
    • Pay at least $.01 with your Citi ThankYou points.
    • Up to $5 of savings will be reflected on the final order checkout page.

Our Verdict

Not as good as the $30 off $60+ American Express/Amazon are offering. Citi are also offering $10 credit when you change your one click settings on Amazon. I’m loving all these Amazon deals & discounts in the lead up to prime day!

What to Buy

If you have an item to buy on Amazon that’s the easiest. You can also lock in the $30 off $60 deal on a third-party gift card of your choice, just not on an Amazon gift card.

Here’s the link for all electronically delivered gift cards on Amazon and here’s the link for all physically mailed gift cards on Amazon. You’ll have to scroll down a bit to skip Amazon’s own gift cards.

Sample e-gift card deals to get a $50 gift card for just $45 with this promo: $50 Safeway e-gift$50 AirBnB e-gift$50 Uber e-gift$50 Hotels.com e-gift$50 Whole Foods e-gift$50 Lowes e-gift$50 Netflix e-gift.

Remember To Stack

Got the same error message. I chatted with CS, providing the promo code, and was instantly ‘offered’ $5 credit to my account. It’s always worth contacting them, as they are usually pretty generous with giving out credits. Also, I was a day and half late in canceling my cinnemax subscription, and then also refunded that 9.99. 🙂

It told me that the promotion couldn’t be applied. I was able to get the $10 for changing One Click settings though.
