Our Verdict
The standard bonus is $200, the best bonus we’ve seen was $400 and that only required a deposit of $10,000 to trigger. I’m not sure if we will see that offer again, but it’s significantly better than the $500 bonus. I’ll still add these bonuses to the best bank bonus page but it might be better to wait for a possible return of that $400 offer.

Opened the account on 8/25. First statement closed on the 29th.
I did not meet the 30k average balance for those days.
Am I eligible for the offer ?
thanks
You’re still eligible, but your first partial statement cycle wont count because you didn’t meet the requirement. You need to maintain the average balance for the next three full statement cycles.
thanks!
Opened the acct 4/15, deposited 2200 within 1 week, made 11 debit purchases $3-$5 thru June, withdrew all but 500 8/25, still no bonus.
If you call PNC CSR, they say they have 90 days to post the bonus after all requirements are met.
I opened online on 8/14, sent a chase biz push that same day which showed up 8/15 in the acc. Just got my first Statement, it says “Daily Balance” Date 8/14 Ledger balance 0.00, Date 8/15 Ledger balance 2,020. At the very top of the Statement it says “Balance Summary” Average Collected Balance 1,893.75. So i’m assuming the first Statement doesn’t count? I’ve never made any withdraws so not sure where the 1,893.75 is coming from.
You opened your account on 8/14, and your statement cut on 8/29, so your statement cycle was 16 days.
Your balance on 8/14 was $0, for 1 day.
Your balance from 8/15 through 8/29 was $2020, for 15 days.
Your average balance was (1 x $0 + 15 x $2020)/16, which is exactly $1893.75.
You are correct, your first statement cycle won’t count since your average collected balance was under $2k.
Ah I see that makes sense. Thanks Pickle Rick!
that this mean he will not be eligible for the bonus?
It just means I need to keep my $2,000 in the acc for another 2 full Statement Cylces to get the bonus.
They insist on having a banker online meeting. And the next appt date was a week out. If they open the date of application I’m screwed. Hopefully my mid day call, 4 days before the end of the month, is enough time to wire 30k and only have to hold 65 vs 90d
It’s better to reach out mid of the month. You can’t time it to this much perfection.
Right, but a bit late to go back now 🙂
Also, the upcoming labor day long weekend could have played a part in your appointment availability.
You are assuming the statement date will be at the end of the month.
It might be 30 days after opening the account.
“PNC bank statements do not necessarily end on the last day of the month; rather, they cover a specific period, known as a statement period, that is typically one month long but has a specific closing date that is not always the end of the calendar month. You can find the exact closing date for your statement period on the statement itself, which details the transactions for that specific period”
You might want to verify with your bank.
PNC business statements always close the last day of the month.
What you quoted is probably referring to personal accounts.
I was going to say this, but I looked back and my first statement actually closed on 11/29/2024… subsequent statements all closed on the last day of the month. So it’s at least plausible that the first statement may close on the last biz day.
Also, that comment reeks of Google AI.
Huh, that is odd. I opened on 3/18/25 and my first statement was 3/31/25.
Yeah, that is a biz day though. I think we’d need to see another first statement cycle date from a month that ends on a weekend to know for sure.
Makes sense, I didn’t even check if 3/31 was a business day 😅
It worked out, my statement date is Aug 29, my ADB 31k. Opened 27th and wired money the same day.
Yeah, I saw that. I wonder why they do that. Well, hopefully future peeps see this thread so they don’t mess up their first month average.
Looks like it’s not just for the first month…my existing account also had an 8/29 statement date.
You’re right. My final statement posted on 5/30 instead 5/31. I’m not sure how I missed that. 🤦♂️
I stand corrected, my statement date was 8/29
Opened the account on 8/25. I did not meet the 30k average balance for those days.
Will this statement count for the bonus requirement?
Also, I have 34k deposited on in the account, posted the 29th but the available balance is 15k?
deposited 30k for the last 3-4 months.. verified from CS that i have qualified for the bonus.. still havent received any bonus.. its a crap bank..stay away
It looks like they haven’t disbursed the payments for this month for anybody.
Could be coming next month.
same here, i timed it to have a short 1st month- still no bonus yet.
What is your statement closing date? Thanks
For biz it is always calendar month end.
Still waiting bro. What about you?
Nothing yet
Same here i’m expecting the bonus in August and haven’t received anything yet.
lol no bonus yet.. i guess best to complain CBP.. these PNC mofos are the worst
No bonus either…4th statement will hit this weekend
Their customer service is even worse. They dont know the difference between regular and biz checking. Everytime its a 40 min wait.
What did the CSR say if you got hold of one?
Monthly statement hit but the BONUS 😀
Does that mean you got it? I opened early May, still no bonus.
No mate I said statement hit but the bonus. Means no bonus. 😅
My 5th statement already hit with end of August. No bonus yet.
how worse can it get?. Can anyone reach out to customer service?. I got tired of calling them.
Use chat instead of calling
It’s so bad that by the time the rep responds, the window times out. And the rep have no idea on the business account offer bonus
I’m not saying it’s quick, but IIRC chatting in the mobile app doesn’t time out. It should notify you when you receive a response.
I remember closing an account last year before I got on a plane over the course of about an hour. Neither the rep nor I were quick to respond because I was going through security, walking to my gate, shopping, etc.
Chat will divert you to call as they cannot see the eligibility requirements, TnCs for a biz account. It takes 20-30 mins on call to get hold of a biz rep. They said bonus will post with in 90 days of meeting all requirements.
Saam
Hmm, interesting. I’ve used them to close my personal/biz accounts, and they go through in-depth identity verification, disclosures, etc., so it seems strange to me that they can’t see whatever a biz rep can.
Guess they really streamlined their account closing procedures, but not their promotion verification. More important to lose customers than keep the current ones happy?
I used chat and the customer service rep said she can not see a promotion code applied.
Heads up that the signup page changed since I opened the account couple weeks ago. Minimum average balance to avoid fees is higher, so is monthly fee. Only 10 debits needed though. I took screen shots fortunately the day I applied.
For which account?
It has been like this since April of this year at least.
The newer terms state an ACH counts toward the 10 transactions so you don’t even have to do 10 debits according to terms.
yes it was there when I signed up in April.
Want to leave some information on this. I’m in Connecticut and they insisted that I have a web call with them. Not because any of my information was wrong, but because there are no PNC branches within Connecticut.
It turns out that I can actually get this bonu. The guy told me leave a min of $2000 in the account for the first 90 days. 10 debit card transactions within 90 days, not 20. Then a minimum of $500 in the account after 90 days to keep it fee free. Basic account is $12 / month, The bonus will pay out roughly 90 days after all these terms have been met. So it’s a 6 months to get the $400.
I guess what this means is that you can actually get this bonus out of state because he said it’s nationwide. Good luck to all.
It is known. Just that they usually credit the bonus just a couple of weeks after requirements are met. You don’t need to wait 6 months to receive the bonus.
Even better. The title of the post says it’s state specific which is why I added that info.

I know they use EWS for Personal accounts, what about for biz? I’ve been denied a personal acc 3 times now (1 in person), but just got approved with no issues for a biz account online. It’s been my personal vendetta to get them for a personal acc bonus, maybe now that I have an active biz acc I can get approved for the personal.
I opened my account on 6/30 with a deposit of $2,400 that hit that day. When I check my statements it says I have 2 statements. One on June 30 and the other July 31. The 6/30 statement says my average daily balance was $2,400. Would that count or do I need 3 full months worth of statements? If so, then I’d have 1 statement left to go but wasn’t sure if others had that as well.
First statement counts if the average ledger balance is at least the minimum required. Otherwise, the next 3 full statements are counted.
I cannot find any where in the website says Texas is not available for this bonus. Can anyone let me know if I can get the bonus in Texas? Thanks.
