Our Verdict
Last year we saw 60k + $250 which was the best-ever offer, and now they’ve upped it to 75k+ $250, best ever. An argument could be made for those in 2-player mode to use the public offer of 60,000 points via referral link for the 4x referral offer, depending on how you value that 4x earning rate.
If you’re thinking of applying, make sure you read these things everybody should know about American Express cards first. We’ll add this to our list of Best Credit Card Offers. The 125k + 15x small business offer from Resy on the American Express Platinum card is still showing as well and there’s a new increased offer on the Green card as well.
Does anyone have a referral for 90k + 200 offer. None of the links on the dedicated page works
Adding a DP here and seeing if anyone had the same…when I applied to the AmEx gold offer it said I wouldn’t be eligible to receive the bonus. I tried a different referral link and got the same answer. For context I’m 4/24, 2/12, 0/90. The only AmEx cards I’ve had are Delta and Hilton business cards, both opened in 2019 and closed in 2020.
Hi, I have a gold card referral link for 90K points after $4,000 spend within first 6 months PLUS receive up to $200 back as statement credits on purchases during the first 3 months.
[referral removed]
No
Hello, I have a gold card 90K referral link if anyone is looking [referral removed]
Yes.. Can you send me the link..
is the 20% dining cash back only for the first year or does it reset after 1 year?
Just received pre-approved offer for 100K with 4K spend.
OMG – I did a mistake applying for 90k offer. I just realized that the points are worth only 06 cents per point! So that means $540 – $250 ( annul fee) = $290!
Also, this card cannot be downgraded to no fee option and must be closed to avoid annual fee later. I wish I would have done more research – I have no use of these points other than cash redemption – I have zero interest in travel!
Maybe try gift card redemption for greater value. Or open a business checking and get .8 cents value.
Yep! that is good option for most people. However, I think my best best option still is is 0.6 cents or 0.5 cents ( Amex GC) redemption value – I already have lot of amazon and target and Walmart GCs and I have not been able to spend even those since two years ! (I don’t spend money other than rent and groceries 🙂 ) Cash is the best option because I can invest it and it grows. I just wasn’t expecting that AMEX points are valued so low. Most of the other banks have their points valued at 1 cent per point – but it was my mistake to not confirm my invalid assumption
If you do the gift card option be sure to look at the money to points ratio. Last I looked gift cards TYPICALLY seem to be $1 per 100 points ratio from Depot, Staples & Old Navy, Gap, Olive Garden, Cheddars, Bath and Body Works, Barnes & Noble, but Walmart was a bad payout ratio at $25 for 3572 points. You might have luck selling gift cards on Facebook, ebay, etc?
I saw in previous message you were interested in United miles. So Amex rewards points could be transferred to Avianca lifemiles, and they are the same Star alliance, so I believe you might next transfer it to United, and then sell for cash…
Just went with the 90K offer (no restaurant credit) and got approved. FICO score 803. 5/24 at the time of applying. I had JUST applied to United Explorer card (and was approved ). United card application was just 5 minutes before AMEX application when I was 4/24. I was approved for Wells Fargo Autograph card just a month ago!
I have some big expenses coming up ( unfortunate ones) – I am just trying to feel better by getting these SUBs. The lifetime language with AMEX kinda bums me out. I know this is not the best offer. Best offer was either 100k or 90k + $250 restaurant credit.
Is this card and the Gold Premier from years ago two different cards for once per lifetime rules?
From the T&C’s: Welcome offer not available to applicants who have or have had this Card or the Premier Rewards Gold Card.
Is the Premier Rewards Gold Card different than the Premium Rewards Gold Card? Pretty sure that’s what I had like 8 years ago.
Sure
