[Expired] Amex Offers: 10% Back At ExxonMobil, Up To $100 Statement Credit [Expires 12/31/19]

Deal has expired, view more AmEx offers by clicking here.

The Offer

Check your Amex cards for the following targeted offer:

  • Get 10% back on pump purchases at ExxonMobil, up to $100 in statement credits. Expires 12/31/19.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid for purchases paid for at the pump at U.S. Exxon and Mobil locations only.
  • Card must be swiped at the pump in order to be considered eligible.
  • Purchases such as Speedpassâ„¢ and Speedpass+â„¢ mobile app transactions are included if the account is linked to your enrolled Card.
  • Excludes all other transactions such as, but not limited to, purchases inside convenience stores, car washes, automotive repair, aviation & marine fuel, garage services, Esso & XTO brands, stations in Guam and other international locations, and gift cards.
  • Limit of $100 in total statement credits per Card Member.
  • Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/31/2019, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.
  • If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it.

Our Verdict

I found this offer on one card so far. 10% off gas is sweet, hopefully you see it on a card that already earns a high rate at the gas station.

Hat tip to readers KT and Sam

Bought gas today, got the email even though the offer is gone from my added list. Probably just a glitch not showing.

This is the second time an offer has disappeared for me, last time I was at a Marriott, I swore I had several $40 offers, but didn’t see it on any of my logins. Now they’re back, after I charged several rooms to the wrong card, ugh…

I didn’t write down which cards I loaded Exxon too, so have no idea which card to use. Sigh.

Matthew offer is showing again, at least in my app, might want to check and mark that down. I had the tech one that disappeared that I had idea which card I added it to so I get it. After that, I started using post it notes with offer and which card for ones I knew I was going to use.

You can add your Amex card to you speedpass account and make it the default so you don’t have to worry about which card to use.

I just called American Express, mine disappeared also, was told that you had to sign up before 7-15-19, no where did I see that in the fine print,,,sneaky, glad I double checked before filling my truck, I would have lost the 5% I get on another card! Sneaky sneaky!

It’s probably still there, like the tech offer that disappeared and reappeared. I just used it today again and I got the email. Strangely I am getting an email every time I use this offer.

You can chat if you’re concerned. They should be able to see it added on their end.

The offer has disappeared from my screen also. I also get the e-mail every time I use it though…Did you wind up getting the credit still? Even though I got the e-mail saying I made a valid purchase on July 17, I still see no credit.

I had this on my Amazon Business AMEX and now it is missing. I added the offer and everything. Chat rep can’t find it and says i am SOL. I told them to escalate this to development/engineering as this is ridiculous.

Check again. Same for me. I DEFINATELY added the offer. Then it DEFINATELY disappeared. Today I got an email reminding me that I had enrolled in this offer. I checked again, it’s shows up now.

Is this offer valid for one fill-up or for multiple fill-ups with a max $100 credit?

AFAIK, Speedpass is done now, kaput, so the wording in the ad will confuse some people.

Got it on Simply Cash Plus Biz. Gas stations are my choice for the 3% cash back… 13% cash back is a pretty good deal!! John 3:16

Got this on Blue Biz Plus. Too bad there aren’t any ExxonMobil stations anywhere near me. Added anyway in case I travel to places that have these.
