You should see this offer in your login on any MR-earning card. Some people were seeing this offer last week when it went live before the deal was valid; it wasn’t able to be saved at the time, but it’s saving fine now.

- Valid 3/22/16 – 7/31/16
- Limit 1 enrolled card per Amex online account (using the multi-tab trick should probably get you more cards, YMMV)
Our Verdict
2x MR on Amazon isn’t all that great as there are cards that give 3x – 5x rewards, see Best Credit Cards For Amazon Purchases – Up to 5x Points/5% Cash Back. It’s also possible to buy Amazon gift cards at discounted prices as well.
Still worth keeping in mind if you want to buy something on an Amex card for the added protections or for heavy Amazon shoppers.
Remember that, when meeting the requirements, the Everyday card gets a 20% MR bonus and the Everyday Preferred card gets a 50% MR bonus. The total will be at least 2.5 MR per dollar on the Preferred card, and, hopefully, 3 MR per dollar if the Amex Offer gets bonused as well. At 3x, this can be a contender for top card for Amazon purchases.
