Card earns the following rewards:

- 2% cash back on all Apple Pay purchases
- 1% cash back when using the physical card

Our Verdict

Purchase can be any amount over $0.01, you can find some inspiration here. It was rumored this bonus was coming, I’m sure it’ll be popular because it’s Apple but the 10 transactions for 12 months is certainly annoying and even if you value it at full retail price $249 is hardly inspiring compared to other credit card bonuses. You can make the deal slightly better by going through a portal, just keep in mind you can’t use apple giftcard as the purchase needs to go on your new apple card.

The other thing to consider is that Chase is purchasing the Apple card portfolio from Goldman Sachs and purchasing the backbook. I think it’s reasonable to expect a larger bonus from Chase, but the Chase 5/24 rule will apply so many won’t be eligible.
