[Expired] Apple Card: Get 6% Back on Apple Purchases through December 31

Deal has expired, view more Apple deals by clicking here

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Apple is increasing the Daily Cash on Apple Card from 3% to 6% on Apple purchases through December 31.

The Fine Print

  • Purchases from Apple Media Services and AppleCare+ monthly payments, as well as any Apple iPhone Payments or Apple iPhone Upgrade program charges to your account outside of the promotional period, are ineligible. Additional details apply; see https://www.apple.com/apple-card/ for more information.

Our Verdict

Looks like it’s all automatic, for new or existing Apple Cardholders. Should work for store purchases and online purchases.

Nice little bump there for Apple purchases, it could even make sense to apply for the card if you have some really large Apple purchases to make. Might be worth waiting to see if there are any portal bumps between now and December 31.

See our review on the Apple Card here.

Nice way to get people to rationalize exorbitant prices

anyone know if there is a way to stack apple student/military 10% discount with portal?

I mean, it was between a new Mac and a new Tesla. Obviously, being a sane, normal person, I opted for the Mac because I got 6% back. Duh.

Edit: I actually only ended up getting 1% because I used the physical card. But I got to show everyone I was using an Apple Card at the Apple store, so that made it all worth it.

Most will diss it but I had been planning on purchasing the new Mac Pro. With minimal cash back sites, the extra 3% is worth it to me. Ideally, I would have had a new credit card for spend to work with but this product kept getting delayed so without that, 6% on on 7.5K helps out.

Celia have you considered cards that offer extended warranties. curious to hear what people think is the best overall way (cashback and extended warranty) to buy from Apple.

That plays into my decision when buying most items but with Apple computers, I go with AppleCare anyway. Surprisingly, in over 20 years in business I’ve never had to use it. Even my G5 from 2005 is still going strong. Of course, the one time I don’t get it, I’ll probably need it 🙂

Celia the extended warranties add time after AppleCare expires in most cases.

Celia
Celia

Yes, some do. But they’re also being eliminated, extended warranties that is. I take all of that into consideration when making any purchase over $500. Thanks.

Celia obviously the comment only applies to actual extended warranties.

Obviously. Yes I got that. But as I said, I take all that into consideration when making any purchase over $500. Thanks.

You only get 1% using the card in an Apple store and not 6%?

Edit: I was replying to someone above sorry

You have to use Apple Pay to get the higher rate. If you use the physical card, you get 1%.
