Barclay Removes The Interest Free Period On Their Arrival Card

Barclay has removed the interest free period on their Arrival card on April 24th, 2014. Previously cardholders were given 12 months of 0% interest rates on all purchases and balance transfers. This is no longer be the case, cardholders will instead be given an APR of 14.99% or 18.99% depending on their credit worthiness.

Our Verdict

This really doesn’t change much, this card came (and will still come) with a balance transfer fee of 3% or $10 (whichever is higher). This doesn’t make it an attractive proposition for balance transfers. Barclays is also known for giving small credit limits, with the average limit for the Arrival card being $8,212.50 and the highest reported limit being only $15,000.
