Capital One QuickSilver Signup Bonus: 3% Unlimited Cashback For One Year (0% APR 15 Months)(YMMV)

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Capital One Quicksilver is offering a new signup bonus offer: Double your earn with unlimited 3% cash back on all purchases in your first year.

There are two other offer versions which sometimes appear:

  • Get $200 bonus when you spend $500 within 3 months
  • Get $200 bonus when you spend $500 within 3 months + 5% on gas and groceries for the first 6 months, up to $300 total

How does double your earn work?
You will earn unlimited 3% cash back on all purchases in your first 12 months from account opening, excluding purchases made on Capital One Travel. You will continue to earn 5% back on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.

Card Details

  • 1.5% cash back on all purchases
  • No annual fee
  • No foreign transaction fees

Our Verdict

The link alternatively shows the regular $200 bonus or this new 3% bonus offer or the gas/grocery offer. Heavy spenders might find the 3% offer interesting. I found the 3% version incognito and the $200 offer in regular browser.

I got a Quicksilver in May of this year with $200 sub. I was approved for SavorOne in August but no sub. Exactly three months between approvals.

I read somewhere on DoC that it was 6 months as well. I applied for QS as they kept sending me the $200 offer for months at end. But then I realized I want the Orange colored one.. so not sure how long to wait for that? thanks

I would say that you ought to wait about seven months after your Quicksilver approval to apply for SavorOne to get the $200 sub.

Youre welcome. You may get an approval if it’s been less than six months, but no sub. You best wait.
I’ve got about two more months before I pull the trigger to get Venture sub.

Too bad… Finally found the 3% match offer on IE. 800+ score. And have not applied for any card in over a year. Declined.

Tried with the for the wife. She was approved for $500.

We both are seasoned. No MF spend. Card limits on single cards exceeding 80k each.

Not their target customer.

Two other cards with 3% for the first year are Discover It Miles (unlimited) and Santander Ultimate Cash Back ($20K limit).

DP here! Just applied for the 3% CB offer. I ran the pre-approval beforehand and it said I was approved for the Quicksilver with good credit. Applied for the 3% 1st year offer for fun thinking I could pair with my husband’s VX but I was not approved. It said I could accept their other offer, which was for the good credit QS that earns 1.5% CB. I declined.

Credit score 824, great income, but probably around 6 or 7/24. Haven’t had a Cap One card in over a year.

I will concur with the Dec 2 2022 post by Ted.
Credit score over 800. CapitalOne Website and TWO USPS mailings offer a $300 bonus on Quicksilver for just a $500 minimum spend. Too good to be true? Indeed! At end of online application process, Cap One offers the card without the bonus. I reject the offer and call CS. CSR says that what I was offered is all they can offer.

FWIW, I became a Cap One customer through the INGDirect acquisition. No way I’d have joined this bank otherwise.

Very very interested!

However I already have a quicksilver. Do they allow multiple quicksilvers for 1 account?

Capital one, stay away, unreasonable credit approval, 820 score, all other bank approve instantly, but declined my pre approved credit card application, with the reason of being holding to many other card, that is nuts. Pull all three credit company, extremely bad CS and support for the bank, just leave them out of business is the goal. Stop Applying this bad bank, go else where. No matter how good the sign up to be, bad CS and bank culture never cover that up,

I never had a problem with CAP One. Have a Venture card and zero issues. 830 score. As with anything YMMV. Never had trouble with Cap One. Chase is a different story. They may not want churners. For a no fee card this is not bad for yr one. A little cash bonus, 3% for people that dont have a 3% card, 5% gas and groceries-6 months. I suggest you want 3% all the time and 5% groceries, fitness drug stores look at the Paceline Credit card. Way off the radar screen. You can get a free Apple watch also. Its easy to meet the required fitness per week to get those benefits.

Cannot get that offer even through various VPNs. Let us know if you’re able to get the 3% offer somehow.

The credit card companies are getting aggressive. I think they think once the recession really gets going they’ll have a lot of customers stuck between rock and hard place. Be wise out there.

most of us here are mostly going for bonus, so it’s good news if they are getting aggressive.
