Some Chase cardholders have reported seeing a price match feature in their Chase Travel accounts. If you’re eligible a ‘Price Match Guarantee’ banner will show below the portal. Currently it’s only available to select Chase Sapphire Reserve personal & business accounts and on hotel bookings. To be eligible the following rules must be followed:
- Claim submitted within 24 hours
- Same property, dates, room type, bed type, number of guests, currency, cancellation policy, refund rules
- Claim must include: screenshot of price, website domain where seen
- Nightly difference must be $5 or more
Having price match is significant as the Reserve card comes with a $300 annual travel credit.
A few months ago we saw the Price Match Guarantee added on the Sapphire Reserve for Business card, and it now started rolling out to consumer Sapphire Reserve cards. It will be interesting to see if this gets rolled out to all Reserve cardholders and lower tier cards as well.
