Chase Adds Signup Bonus Tracking Information on Credit Cards (See How Much Spend Remains)

Chase has now added a signup bonus tracker to clarify how much spend remains until you meet the requirement for the bonus, as well as the date by which you need to complete the spend. R/churning members are seeing this in the Chase app, and readers note that it shows in the Chase online login too, both on personal cards and business cards. (Go to the points portal > Rewards Activity to see the tracker online; as for the app, you should see it when clicking on the card.)

The tracker is useful to learn the following information:

  • Confirming you have a signup bonus attached to your account.
  • Confirms signup bonus spend requirement.
  • Tracks your spending progress towards the minimum spend requirement.
  • Clarifies the date you need to finish your spend.

Awesome! American Express also recently added a signup bonus tracker; Citi and Wells Fargo have one as well. I love transparency. Chase already offers an online tracker to show how much you’ve used in your annual limits for things like the 5x Office Supply category on INK, as well as the Freedom 5% categories.

[Update 4/12/19: Readers noted the new tracker has gone missing for a few days, but it’s now back again. ht r/churning]

Thanks to reader H. for the image

DP, It shows on the online portal as well, for both personal and business.

Where do you see it? Specifically with regard to business and which cards? I have a fresh United Explorer Business card (haven’t yet received in the mail, but in my login) and I don’t see any details on the bonus in mobile or online…

Go into the points portal on the card that you are working MSR on it and it should be at the top. It does for the CSR and CIU.

I don’t see it on the portal for CIP. Combined business/personal login. Just another DP

I see it but different logins not combined might be the issue

I don’t see it either. CIP with separate business login.

same – don’t see it on the CIP portal online, or in app

+1, see it on my personal CSR, but not CIP.

I’m seeing this meter on my online login, at the UR home for that card.

Not visible online on Chase Sapphire VISA — asked also via email support and they confirmed it does not show currently on my account online.

It’s not just you… I don’t have it on my CSP, either.

Not seeing it for the United Explorer card.

I’ve got it on my Chase Ink Unlimited. Will send a pic.

Showing for me. I have a combined personal and business login. I like that it shows the exact amount spent in dollars/cents. It would be nice if Chase implements this for the CF quarterly bonus tracker instead of the plain status bar that has no denominations.

they do have a progress bar that shows how much you spend on bonus categories.

As I noted, but it doesn’t show you the amount spent in dollars/cents. I know there are still ways to figure that out, but it should be easy for Chase to add it to the CF status bar.

So I discovered out if you have Chrome, you can click on the tracker and click “Inspect Element” and when you look at the code it’s actually buried in the code what the actual dollar amount is (mine showed $42 of $75 a couple days ago).

this is good… for the 10% of readers who haven’t already churned way past chase…

I think the article needs to be adjusted. Even if you read the subject material it says quite clearly the UR Points portal which obviously limits which cards this new tracker applies to. Chase SW Visa = no, Chase United Explorer = no.

can i say FINALLY ? this shouldve been introduced 10 years ago but i guess the banks were saving money not handing out bonuses

Not showing on my recently received CIP. Maybe because a bill hasn’t even been generated for it as of yet.

i mean i guess this is useful for the newbies that are under 5/24. Im just mad that I cant get another Chase card

Newbies aren’t the only ones under 5/24. I’m at 2/24 because I’ve been applying for almost nothing other than business cards the past 2+ years, and business cards from most banks (Cap One and Discover being the main exceptions) don’t show up on EQ/EX/TU credit reports and thus are not counted in Chase’s 5/24 count.

Having said that, I don’t MS, I only churn up to the degree that my “natural” spend supports it.

But I’ve been churning to this “natural spend” degree for about 15 years now, so I don’t think you could call me a “newbie”.

Seeing it for my CSR, but not CSP. I haven’t physically received the CSP/verified it yet however.
