The Chase United Club Infinite Card now comes with the $525 annual fee waived the first year; there is no signup bonus on the new offer. Just yesterday, Chase ended the 100,000 points signup bonus on the card – that offer did not waive the $525 annual fee.
It makes sense they aren’t charging the annual fee first year given that some people won’t be getting much/any benefit from things like the club membership these days.
Most people value the 100,000 signup bonus offer at much greater than $525, so this isn’t a good deal, but interesting nonetheless.

For its predecessor, the United Club Card Visa Signature, the promotion was initially offered every few years, then changed to ongoing but targeted in the last year. Does anyone know how long this promotion is valid for this Infinite card?
I wonder if it would be possible to upgrade from the Explorer card to this card with the no annual fee deal. My annual fee on the Explorer is coming due soon and instead of paying that if I could upgrade to this card and pay no annual fee for a year that would be cool. I’m going to try asking Chase probably.

The only reason to bite on this is if you wanted to MS United status. But that in turn only makes sense if you think travel is going to be remotely normal next year.
I would be more tempted if my home airport had more Star Alliance lounges open.
Could probably care less about United’s own club selection.
Sounds like the initial launch didn’t go to well nor will this offer help at least from sites like this. Zero sign-up bonus granted no AF and taking up a 5/24 slot for those that even care. Hard pass for most people

Extremely empty and blissfully quiet–the way a lounge experience should be, ideally.

Yeah this is my question…not just for UA but across the board….especially intl destinations. Flying premium cabins and having access to a lounge that serves up sandwiches wrapped in plastic, and stuff like that isn’t the greatest experience….which I hope isn’t going to be the case come in 2021.
LAX term 7 with the outdoor balcony was great. bartender says 1-5 customers a day, only other guy that was in there was a MM flier a few times over. as of 4/21
