Our Verdict
Good deal if you have an upcoming hotel stay anyway, this would probably be enough to get me to switch a booking over but I don’t really use the Choice program so probably won’t do this promotion.

I keep some choice points for my trips to japan. They have hotels around tokyo for only 8000 points. They are quite nice as hotels in tokyo tend to be very standard and small.

Forget about the email offer. Choice has been having a week of different deals every day this week. This is today’s deal. If you’re a Choice member, go to their website and log in, click Reveal Today’s Deal, and you’ll likely find it on the right hand side of screen as part of the list of deals across their web page on their website. I never got this email, but when I logged in there it was, and it allowed me to register. Then when I clicked a second time, it correctly said that I’m already registered for this promo.
Since I usually stay with another hotel loyalty program, I don’t know much about this program. How many points does it take for a free night at a low tier/category hotel?
The low end is 8/10/12,000 points, but the better ones are 16, 20 or 24k points. High cost locations like NYC can be 30k points.
If anyone can find a link that actually works, it’s a pretty decent deal.

It’s good if you are looking for lower end properties, as in more bang for your buck. Last year I stayed at a Comfort Suites in Brooklyn for 8k a night, around this time of year.

Worked for me when I went through it again. I clicked through to register, go the login screen, and logged in. Said I was already registered.
Maybe it’s targeted / YMMV? The Choice hotels twitter reached out to me and didn’t make it sound like it’s targeted though. I *did* get this offer in an email but it appears to be a public promotion on their site. Go to their main website and click on “Deals” at the top.
As always, try incognito, delete cookies, fire up a different browser, try from phone/computer, etc.
