Free 3 Years Of Shipt Membership For Visa Infinite Cardholders ($297 Value; Includes Sapphire Reserve)

Visa announced a new partnership with Shipt as a benefit on their consumer cards.

Press Release | Enroll Here

  • Visa Infinite Cards get three years of free Shipt membership (normally $99 per year), with free delivery on orders $35+.
  • Visa Signature Cards get three months of free Shipt membership, then nine months of membership at 50% off, with free delivery on orders $35+.
  • All other Visa U.S. Consumer Credit Cards get one month of free Shipt membership, then three months of membership at 50% off, with free delivery on orders $35+.1
  • Certain Offer Terms apply, visit shipt.com/offer-terms-for-visa to learn more.

This is an excellent new freebie for Visa Infinite cardholders which include cards such as the Chase Sapphire Reserve that many of us have. I’ve always eyed the Shipt option on Target.com for quicker delivery, but never used it before. Other stores offer Shipt delivery as well, including: select Costco locations, CVS, Petco, H-E-B, Meijer, Bed Bath & Beyond, Petco.

Readers note that prices via Shipt are higher and that you need to tip as well. Also, be sure to set yourself a reminder to cancel before the 3 years are up, else you’ll be automatically charged.

The Fine Print

  • Offer valid from 9/17/2021 through 12/31/2024 (“Term”).
  • Cardholders enrolling during the Term with a qualifying Visa Infinite card (“Card”) receive a free Shipt membership for up to three (3) years from enrollment date and no less than twelve (12) months if you enroll by 12/31/2024, which (i) includes waived delivery fees on orders over $35 (“Offer”) and (ii) is only redeemable through Shipt web application at shipt.com or the Shipt mobile app.
  • Your membership will begin on the date that you enroll your eligible Visa consumer credit card to your Shipt account.
  • Existing Shipt members that enroll in the Offer start their free membership at the expiration of their current paid membership. Cancellation of an existing Shipt membership will result in Offer ineligibility.
  • Enrolled cardholders must use the Card as the default payment method to redeem, have Offer remain effective, and have Offer apply, or may be subject to additional fees.
  • Eligibility for Offer is limited to one per person per Shipt account, and per eligible Visa card. Payment through third-party payment accounts, or online or mobile digital wallets (like Apple Pay and Google Pay), or memberships purchased through third parties are excluded from this offer.
  • Once enrolled in the Offer, cardholders are subject to the Shipt Terms of Service, Privacy Policy (https://www.shipt.com/terms-of-service/), and Shipt Promotion Terms and Conditions (https://www.shipt.com/promotional-credit-terms/).
  • You can cancel your membership at any time at shipt.com. Unless you cancel your Shipt membership prior to the expiration of your free period, your Shipt annual membership will auto-renew for a new subscription at then current membership rates.
  • Orders with alcohol may incur a $7 alcohol delivery fee. Charges for items purchased, taxes, tips, and retailer-charged fees (such as, where applicable, bag fees) and additional fees may still apply. Offer valid only where Shipt service is available.

I wonder if these can stack. That is, get three years free with Infinite then roll into 3 months free and $5 a month with Signature once that expires. Timing works if you sign up now, and since the6 are listed as two separate offers the Ts&Cs allow it on their face…

Because Target has an ownership interest in Shipt, there is no price surcharge on Target orders.

I’m a little confused about payment requirements for free delivery
Can you purchase from Target website/app and pay with a Target Redcard (for a 5% discount) or must you pay with your infinite Visa card to receive no fee delivery?
Shipt FAQ under card on file tab (LINK https://help.shipt.com/offer-faqs-for-visa ) requires you to pay with your Visa card. Other stores requiring payment by Visa card makes sense, but is a purchase directly from Target website different?

No one is going to use your referral code if they can get three years for free without it. Loser.

You can shop at Target online and use Shipt for same day delivery or you can shop Target through the Shipt app.

With the paid membership but I wonder if that’s still the case with the free. I have a paid membership so can’t verify but am curious.

VISA signed a deal with Postmates before Uber acquired them. Uber killed that one since it has an amex partnership. I guess this is the replacement VISA found. Meh

Does the 3 year start today or from the date we enroll our card? I ask this as enroll page says UPTO 3 Years

From the day you sign up or the day you’re paid membership expires. However the reason it says up to is because you couldn’t sign up a day before it expires in 2024 and have three years from that date. The terms guarantee a minimum of 12 months. So from what I understand, to get the maximum 3 years the latest you could sign up would be December 2022. It looks like no membership can exceed December 2025.
