[Expired] Giftcards.com: Save 10% On Visa eGiftcards + Up To 8% From Portal (Promo Code VISAHOLIDAY, HOLIDAYVISA, XMASVISA, VISAXMAS)

Update 12/22/22: Just a reminder that this offer is still going with promo codes: VISAHOLIDAY, HOLIDAYVISA, XMASVISA, VISAXMAS

Update 12/16/22: They are now capping the coupon codes to a max discount of $10.

The Offer

Direct promotion page (Note: this contains our affiliate link, you’ll do yourself better by shopping through a shopping portal to earn rewards for yourself)

  • Giftcards.com is offering $10 off each $100 of virtual Visa gift cards purchases with promo code VISAHOLIDAY or HOLIDAYVISA. Max $20.

The Fine Print

  • Promo code HOLIDAYVISA valid 12/15/22 – 12/24/22 for $10 off the purchase of a $100 Visa Virtual Account while supplies last.
  • Limit 2 per order (max discount $20).
  • Promotion excludes Physical Visa Gift Cards and Giftcards for Business Reward Cards

Our Verdict

Buy a $200 virtual Visa gift card for $180 which will be $185.95 after the fee. Or buy the max $250 card if you want to increase your spend now, e.g. to meet a spend requirement or if you have an easy way of using virtual Visa cards as debit cards. The big limit here is the $20 discount per order. It does sound like you can place more than one order, I suppose we’ll see how that plays out. Limit $10 now.

Capital One Shopping is offering 4% back on Giftcards.com purchases when you spend $2,000 or less. See other portal options here. The portals are clearly showing the promo code VISAHOLIDAY so it should stack fine. Reader John is seeing 8% from Capital One Offers in the credit card login.

Large batch of rewards for Nov and Dec giftcards.com purchases posted today ieatdogfood . I had given up on this: disabled the extension and had stopped using this portal as they had shortchanged me on this deal as well as Quill offer..just didn’t feel like calling/emailing them and then today I got the app notification for the rewards and see that they are there in the account now for redeeming. I have not checked to see if they are all there, but it does appear to cover everything at the advertised rate though not at the large multiplier. The targetted Quill rewards have still not posted though.

Thanks. They were actually pending yesterday. Clearly it is mass batch processed, sometimes not on time but will eventually show up in one of the batches. I have a very small Dell order multiplied by 4x as 4 separate credits. It was less than 50 cent each payout but interesting nonetheless. Not sure what triggered that one but no other duplicates on GCM or Dell. I used Capital One Offers.

Anyone get the 8% portal cashback from Capital One OFFERS multiplied by 2/3/4x? It seems all mine have tracked 1:1. I’m trying to figure out if only Capital One SHOPPING has the absurd multipliers with screwy tracking vs. Capital One OFFERS.

For Dec 22 I had $92 ($750 buy), $69 ($750 buy), $40($250 buy), $7($250 buy) and $10 ($250 buy) pending in that order as of 31 Dec 22. Now only the 7 and 10 have actually posted. Not giving up, but I doubt the rest are going to post as they are not even showing up in the history now.

HarryTheFirstHarry Otto So you guys are saying the screwy multipliers aren’t a good thing for Capital One Offers and US Bank Earn since they most likely won’t payout?

I know there have been DPs for Capital One Shopping paying out some absurd numbers but those are 50/50 as well. Better odds than no odds.

The USB terms say that they don’t pay on orders over $2000, which my screwed up 3x order did. So that didn’t pay out. I submitted a inquiry on it but that’s still under investigation. If it gets fixed I’m guessing it’s just going back to the correct amount. I did have an order for 2x cards that paid out for the screwed up number since it was still under $2000. I cashed it out and haven’t seen a clawback yet. It did not make up for the cashback I’m missing for the 3x order though.

I had a couple large multipliers being paid as well earlier…one from November for sure and at least a couple more earlier in 2022. It appears they are now either attempting to fix some glitch that caused this or each person gets a few such “hand-outs” to get your loyalty and then they close the tap completely to the point where the huge multiplier items no longer pay out even at the regular rate. In reading the comments here and other threads, this second one seems more likely as people who were initially happy with this portal have come out later with comments about offers not tracking.
Its also possible there are some velocity limits – if you earn too much in a month things might get manually looked at and hence delayed since all of the previous months that I got paid out in large multiplier cases those were the only transactions in that month and were limited to a single $750 purchase.

I had issues with US Bank earn mall screwing my orders for 2x, 3x, etc. So when I went through Capital One Offers, I only order 1 at a time. I ordered 6 and got all 6 credits. Not sure if it helped but I split it across 3 on P1 capital one account and 3 on P2 capital one account.

gc.com does internal audits at the end of the month and will clawback any errors from portals, who will then clawback from you.

source: several USB, Citi accounts currently negative because I cashed them out asap, and SB clawbacks 6 months after the incidents

I got my 8% credits from Capital One Offers. Nice. This ended up being really slick with that stacked.

$185.95 for each $200 card + $16.47 back from portal. Plus credit card spend.

Is there any way to combine these gift cards? Say, for example, combine 4 of them to $1k? I can use them to pay property tax, but it incurres a flat fee for each card.

I paid property tax with each cards. A small gain after offsetting the flat fee (2.2% in my area)

There’s a Fintech called Kasheesh that supposedly makes this possible, but you have to join a wait-list to get access. I joined it a while back and still waiting.
