Avoiding Fees

This account has a $10 monthly fee, this is waived if you’re enrolled in eStatements and a direct deposit
Early Account Termination Fee
According to the fee schedule there is a $10 fee if the account is closed within 6 months of account opening
Our Verdict
Seems difficult to keep the account fee free, so might not be worth doing for some people. We also don’t know if it’s a hard or soft pull yet. As always if you go for this deal then please share your experiences in the comments below.

I called the bank today and was informed the promotion is going on. I specifically asked the $200 promotion for eLife checking and the CSR confirmed that. When I asked the 2018 expiration date from the website, she was confuse.

Interesting, let me know if you get the bonus
Thanks, not sure how I missed that
I just opened an account. I tried my double cash CC as an initial funding source but it was a no go.
