- Receive a direct deposit of $100 or more within the first 90 days of account opening (not required for business accounts)
- Enroll in Online Banking
- Add a debit card to the new account

- A $50 early account-closing fee will apply if the account is closed within 6 months of opening

- The checking special is available at the Aurora branch location only.
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
There is an early account termination fee of $50 if the account is closed within six months of account opening. The simple checking account is the easiest personal account to keep fee free as it has no monthly fee as long as you don’t opt for the convenience package. The best business checking account to open would be the free business checking account.
Our Verdict
Probably not worth it for most people as it’s only a $100 gift card bonus and it requires a direct deposit and also in branch opening. If anybody has any experiences with this bank then please share them in the comments below. You can view a list of the checking promos we do recommend here.
