The Offer

- Receive a bonus of $150 from MBT when you do the following:
- Open any new checking account in branch, bringing in the card shown below
- Set up direct deposit of $250 or more within 60 days of account opening
The Fine Print
- Bonus will be deposited within 10 days of direct deposit being received
- Customer must not have been a signer on or owner of an MBT consumer checking account within the last 60 days.
- Direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of payroll, pension or government benefits (such as social security)
- You can only receive one new checking account related offer each calendar year and only one offer per account.
- If account is closed within six months of account opening, they will deduct the bonus at closing and the account will have an early closure penalty.
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
Basic Checking Account $3 Monthly Fee
There is a $3 monthly fee assessed to the basic checking account, this is waived if you do any of the following:
- Use your debit card for 10 transactions
- Set up Direct Deposit
- Make two or more automatic payments
Early Account Termination Fee
If account is closed within six months of account opening, they will deduct the bonus at closing and the account will have an early closure penalty
